INTRODUCTION
A career action plan is a road map that guides an individual from choosing a profession
to landing a job or advancing their career in a certain region or field. This will assist a person
in achieving their career objectives. A person's aptitude for introspection and eagerness to
learn more about their own nature and purpose is known as self-reflection (Delauzun, A.,
2020). As a result, it is linked to the philosophy of consciousness and the theme of awareness,
as well as the philosophy of mind. Self-reflection allows a person to consider, assess,
mediate, and seriously consider their attitudes, behaviours, motives, thoughts, and desires.
The following will be based on a personal assessment of strengths and opportunities for
improvement. It will also create a career action plan to strengthen or build critical abilities in
a certain field, such as retail. Finally, a CV and profile will be created.
TASK
Personal Analysis
Personal analysis entails assessing my current abilities and shortcomings, as well as
opportunities and dangers. It is critical to determine one's own talents and competences,
which necessitates the use of a SWOT analysis. It is a model that assists in determining one's
own skills and weaknesses, as well as guiding one toward achieving goals in the near future.
I've learned and studied several marketing courses in order to advance my profession in the
retail industry, and I've gained knowledge, concepts, skills, and much more. I recently had the
opportunity to work for Marks & Spencer, a leading retailer (Homsey, B.O., 2021). Its
company has expanded to include food, houses, and other domestic products. I have
determined that several important talents must be developed or improved in order for me to
carry out my task and job as a marketing employee. The following is an expanded discussion:
Communication skill- This is strength for me as I am capable to exchange
information and thoughts with other people. This skill helps me in field of marketing
as there is requirement to formulate suitable marketing plans and campaigns for future
growth which requires effective communication skill. I must communicate with a
variety of people, including consumers, co-workers, customer service personnel, and
others. the having of communication skill can help in resolving conflicts leading to
growth in marketing.
Interpersonal skills- I am good in this skill which is opportunity for me as it requires
the understanding of needs and requirements of other people in order to develop
