a) Comparison of two selected industries/sectors
Two industries that would be put into comparison in this section for competitive industry
analysis would be the information technology industry and the construction industry.
Main Features
Information Technology Industry: The information technology industry is one of the
most exponentially evolving industries in the 21st century. It is an increasing high contribution
for the economic growth all over the world in every country it has been set up. From an
international perspective it can be said that this industry has become one of the largest pillar of
the economics in any country around the world and this is one of the fastest growing industries.
There are various classifications of the information technology industries which can be classified
with the theory of knowledge industries. Industry is more or less related to the increasingly
prominent scientific and technological development and therefore the information industry is
called a 3C industry in other countries. Computers, electronics and communication equipment
and high speed internet network belong to the hardware part of the information technology
industries, whereas on the other hand, the publishing of news and books, post and
telecommunication, advertising systems, integration, software development and others belong to
the software side of the information technology industry. Television and telephone have mostly
resulted in the increasing popularity of two computers and this was the first step in the
information industry in witnessing a social progress. It was during this time that internet
technology and developed rapidly and there was a quick advancement in portals, search engines
in instant messages. All the inventions related to the information acquisition stage and this form
the main features of Information Technology industry. The way by which they had been

acquiring the market is increasingly becoming the primary feature of the entire industry.
Information Technology was closely related to the development of Science and Technology.
However, the salient features of Information Technology industry; hardware, software and brain
had mostly taken a turn towards the development of elemental information industry. The main
focus of the entire industry was on the people, who were mostly utilising the information
technology and were at the receiving end of the industry.
Construction Industry: The construction industry forms one of the most significant
roles in evolving the economy of any country. This is characterized by Extreme level of
competition and complex operations with conditions including higher risk factors as well as well
informed clients. Competitive bidding system within the construction industry is one of the
factors that are based on extreme lowest price but it's too much higher bargaining power to the
clients. There have been numerous definitions of the marketing feature of construction industry
and that has become one of the most important activities all over the world regarding the
business sectors in the contemporary industry structure and industry has a direct impact to this
feature. Construction industry is still under developed in misunderstood and in most cases the
practitioners have a perspective of you in the market from the benefits with scepticism. There are
certain characteristics of the construction industry that has made it difficult for the application of
series as well as the techniques in the conventional markets of service in industrial marketing in
construction industry. There have been various researches on believing the fact that the situation
in the construction industry and the consequences they have been facing Ali merchant from
different perspectives of the production system, flow management, construction technology,
knowledge management, innovation and comparison with other project based industries. The
products in the construction industry are complex, bulky and at the same time they have been
