The term employability is defined as the process of analysing and determining the job
and effective career opportunities within the business organisation. Career development plays an
essential role in the growth and development of an individual, it involves detailed analysis of the
process through which an individual manage and lead their own career life (Barrow and Innes,
2021). With the increasing competition in the market it becomes essential for the individual to
enhance their personal and employability skills. There are number of career development tool
available that can be taken into consideration by the individual in order to achieve their desired
career goal and gain competitive advantage in the job market. This report includes detailed
consideration of the career development and employability for an individual and also various
career development tools that can be taken into consideration by the individual in order to further
enhance their performance and achieve career objectives.
Main Body
Career development is defined as the process of setting of effective programmers
implemented with the aim of matching an person's needs, wants, ability and career goals and
objectives with the present and future career related opportunities in the business organisation
(Cavaliere, Sassetti and Lombardi, 2021). The career development is the long term process as it
is mainly focused on the future career opportunities for the individual. It helps the individual to
prepare and motivate themselves for the future employability opportunities and jobs. In order to
achieve desired career job and get effective and suitable employability, there are number of

taken into consideration by the individual in order to enhance their career. It is basically the

effective way to build positive representation of individual skills, capabilities and career goals.

expand their professional and personal network, as well as it also helps in building strong

building strong network and staying active in terms of being creative and innovative (Pham,

Curriculum vitae: Another effective career development tool that can be used by the
individual is curriculum vitae. It is detailed description of one's life accomplishment, academic
background and skills accomplished by the individual. Preparing effective and detailed
curriculum vitae including all the information required increases the chances of individual to get
their desired job and also get vast career opportunities. In order to get the desired job and achieve

skills and qualification. It is the first thing noticed by the recruiter while applying for a particular
