Planning the career in business is one of the important thing that the person must need to
do. The current report is based on the retail sector working as the HR manager as the area of
specialization. The report will include the overview of the Sainsbury as this is one of the largest

report will include the CV that need to be presented in the workplace. This report will also put
focus on the skills gaps with the help of SWOT analysis. Furthermore, the report will include the
action plan that help the person to overcome from the skills gaps in order to become the manager
of the company (Naidoo and Gasparatos, 2018). This action plan will include the skills that are
identified as the weaknesses in the SWOT analysis. By knowing about the resources needed and
time frame helps the person to know gain the weak skills.
The personal statement and CV is presented in the report as this will help the chosen
organization to know about the skills and work experiences. By presenting the CV it will make
the company to know about the qualifications, skills, hobbies in order to work as the HR
manager in the Sainsbury. As it is very important for the person to make the CV that helps them
to promote themselves and provides them to job according to the qualification and skills stated in

Sainsbury by opening the shop in Drury London. This was considered to be one of the largest
UK retailers in the grocery in 20th century. The company used to sell the varieties of products
that helps them to become the largest supermarket sector in the UK markets. By having the large

increase in the market share helps the company to gain more profits in the UK market. In current
research it is seen that there are 1407 stores of company in the market of UK which helps them
to have increase in the market. As there are number of stores in the UK market the company used
to provide online services as well that helps them to have the target customers.
By knowing about the company and its market share it makes me to have interest in the
workplace. By working in the retail sector it proves the chance to work with the number of
people and have interaction with the new staff in the company. This helps the me to work for the
wellbeing and productivity of the employees in the organization (Nash, 2018). By having and
working with the largest supermarket it will develop my skills and knowledge in working as the
HR manager. It is very important for the company to have HR manager which makes the
company to know about the competitiveness in the retail market. this will be beneficial for me to
work as the HR manager and make the company to know about the competitive brands. This
makes me to have more interest with working with such place. By this I will be having the good
communication skills that helps me to have better communication with the people in the market.

Personal statement
The personal statement refers to the one’s achievement that includes the application for the job
or in order to work or learn in the university. This helps the company to know about the person
who has applied in order to work and support the workplace. It is very important for the
company to have the personal placement of the person they are recruiting in their company. As I
have applied to work in Sainsbury after completing the learning in the business and management
helps the company to have new and better ideas. As I have good communication skills that helps
the company to recruit me as the HR manager.
This makes me to develop my skills which improves my working in order to work as the
HR manager. As I have taken my education in the Business and management so it will make me
know about the working of HR (Babal and et.al., 2019). Human resources is the most required
job required in the company as this helps them to provide the number of talented and skilled staff
in the company. This management helps the company in need and this is the best opportunity for

As I am the volunteer to work so this will develop my interest as well by having the
working with the company. There are number of employees in the company and everyone has
different skills and qualities so by this I will also be developing my skills. My leadership skill is
so good that helps me to become the leader and lead in the market. by having the role play in the
learning and have working was the great experience for me to work as the HR. I was the leader
of my team which makes me to have the proper handling of the team members in the company.
This makes me to have development in my independency and have better learning skills and
used to have full focus on my career. I used to believe that by having the practical experience
with the organization will help me to have better career and develop my skills as well.
By having the excellent communication skills help me to have good communication with
the staff and other members in the company. In order to take the responsibility in the company
will able to increase my learning and helps me to fill the skill gaps as well. This will also help
the organization to have more customers by having the good communication with the people in
