process of indiscriminate subsidy. This factor makes the bank vulnerable in nature and hence
risk is associated with the working environment (Carmichael & Graham, 2012).
Opportunities
• Expansion in various geographical region and market will help the bank to flourish. The
prospect in China has helped the bank and free trade agreement between India and Australia
will help the bank in more advancement (CBA, 2017).
• It provides services through telephones to the Indigenous and Aboriginal Torres Straits
Island and chances of providing loans are certain.
Threats
• Deposits and debt of CBA have little protection after the government shares are sold and
hence are a serious threat.
• The new regulations by ARPA and RBA will stress on CBA to push their tier one ratio
higher and hence will influence the performance.
