INTRODUCTION
In the current study, I shall gather in-depth information regarding the HR profession's breadth.
HR professionals must have strong beliefs, viewpoints, confidence, communication skills, and
the ability to persuade others (Mayo, 2020). I want to pursue a career in human resources
because it offers so many opportunities for growth and achievement. People are more interested
in connecting with humans and learning their requirements about the expectations out of the
work responsibilities they apply to, therefore a large number of recent graduates are choosing
HR as a profession. The goal of this study is to figure out what abilities and attributes I'll need to
be a great HR Assistant. This research also contains the most recent HR trends, which are quite
relevant in the market. Primary and secondary methods will be considered with the goal of
gathering in-depth information. Primary data will be gathered through the use of open-ended
interview questions. Secondary information, on the other hand, will be gathered through books,
articles, newspapers, journals, and other publications. As a result, the trends as well as the skills
and expertise required for success in the HR field are covered in this research.
ANALYSIS AND APPLICATION
General trends which will impact HR profession (Secondary research)
Globalisation is the most significant development in the HR profession. This trend has provided
numerous chances for businesses and brands to grow their operations while also incorporating
people from other countries and areas (Beaven, 2019). Globalisation has also had an impact on
HR professionals, since they now have to recruit people from other nations as well as manage
personnel who have diverse cultures and speak different languages. In other words, these
managers are responsible for bringing in as many varied staff as possible so that they can handle
the organization's foreign clients.

This shift in HR has an influence on recent graduates who are looking for a job because
employers increasingly demand employees who are well-versed in the regulations and processes
of other countries. This also means that these applicants must be conversant in a variety of
languages and cultures.
Technology: Technology is another important trend in the HR field. Any organization's success
depends heavily on advanced technologies. HR is another profession that places a high value on
advanced technology because they make HR professionals' jobs much easier and more
convenient (Khan, 2019). For the successful implementation of their actions, several HR
professionals use applicant tracking software and cloud computing. This also aids in the
recruitment of applicants based on the needs of the organisation, such as vacant job openings,
workload, and so on. HR managers can also use advanced technologies to avoid and mitigate the
risk of prejudice in the workplace by giving equal weight to each and every applicant.
Onboarding, recruiting, and selecting personnel in the organisation become more productive and
efficient for HR professionals. These cutting-edge technologies and tools also help HR
professionals manage their busy operations by keeping constant track and control. An
organisation also expects fresh graduates to be knowledgeable about many types of advanced
technologies, as this aids in the recruitment of skilled staff. Recent graduates who are familiar
with advanced software and technology will be able to accomplish their allocated job duties and
obligations with ease. Graduates who are familiar with artificial intelligence perform their
assigned tasks more efficiently and effectively.
Employee Wellness Programs: Employees have been stressed while working in an organisation
because of the current fast-paced culture and continual competition. HR professionals use a
variety of wellness initiatives to maintain employees' mental health healthy and stable. These
programmes are created by HR to meet the needs of employees so that they can feel more good
about their work and accomplish it more efficiently and effectively (Griggs and Allen, 2018). HR
experts use these initiatives to help employees balance their personal and professional life. This
forces HR professionals to develop a loyal, motivated, and engaged workforce, allowing the
company's goals to be readily realised.
Companies expect recent graduates interested in a career in HR to understand the importance of
maintaining a healthy and stable mind while working in the organisation. This will aid in

identifying challenges that employees have in the workplace and initiatives that can be
implemented to improve and create a positive working environment.
Inclusion and diversity: Diversity is another important trend in the HR industry. Every HR
expert in a company is working hard to expand the number of varied employees so that the
organisation can have a variety of ideas (Ford and et. al., 2021). HR professionals are capable of
creating a working environment in which everyone supports one another, regardless of religion,
age, gender, or other factors.
It is required of new graduates to understand how to recruit a diverse and capable staff into the
organisation. This assists in instilling in employees a positive mindset that their job is critical to
the organization's growth and success.
General trends which will impact HR profession (Primary research)
According to data gathered through primary research, diversity and inclusion, as well as artificial
intelligence, are the most prominent trends in the field of human resource management (Snoek,
Dengerink and de Wit, 2019). Artificial intelligence has given rise to a slew of HR applications
that allow professionals to keep track of their workload. HR professionals, on the other hand, can
now incorporate employees from all origins and cultures thanks to the diversity movement.
