INTRODUCTION Personal Growth is the framework which helps in knowing the key strengths and weakness which helps in building the career and profession in an effective and efficient manner (van Woerkom and et.al., 2019).Marriott International is an American multinational company which operates in hotel facilities and franchising properties. The report will analyze personal analysis which will help me in knowing my skills and the abilities along with my strength and weakness and how to improve those weaknesses on large scale. Along with this, the main career development plan will be framed which will help in formulating the Personal Development Plan (PDP) by including target, resources, long/short term actions and time frame within which target will be achieved. Furthermore, Curriculum Vitae(CV)willbecreatedwhichwillexplainthepositionoftravelagentinMarriott International and mentioning all the details within CV which will be written in a detailed and precise mannerof travel industry. MAIN BODY Personal Analysis In order to work in a travel and tourism industry, I need to have the skills which are applicable for being the travel agent of Marriott International. And for being at that position I need to incur some skills which will helps me knowing the travel and tourism industry more (Mitin and et.al., 2018).Along with this, the skills and knowledge which I acquire also help me in my career development as I show interest in working in this industry. The skills which I imbibe are good communication skills which help me in communicating with people and this also helps me in interacting with people on regular basis. Along with this, teamwork is another important skill which I imbibe and this helps me in working with other individuals so that goals and objectives are accomplished. And also because, teamwork plays an important part as collaborative working in teams helps in making the work easier and that different activities are being carried out in industry more precisely and in an appropriate manner (Tolkach and et.al., 2019).The third most important skills which I imbibe are the graduate degree which helps me knowing more about travel and tourism industry which accompanies me in knowing what trends are and patterns which are being followed in current times in travel industry. Innovation and strategy are next most important skills which I imbibe 3
and with the help of this I am able to make most of my processing of work easier. I am interested in knowing more about travel and tourism industry as I wish to work as travel agent for Marriot International. For further defining proper way in which what are the skills which I incur the most are described as – Strengths -My strengths are based on my skills which helps me knowing what actually I posses for the position in travel and tourism industry so that I am able to achieve my goals and objectives which are being set (GURL, 2017). Weaknesses -The weaknesses which I hold is lack of practical knowledge in travel and tourism field, poor management skills, lack of social media knowledge and its functions. I care to improve my weaknesses so that I am able to perform best at position in travel industry by being the travel agent. It is very important for me to improve my weaknesses so that I am able to make the most of what I have through the skills which I incur. Career Action Plan The career action plan is framed for the purpose of knowing what are the goals and objectives which are to be achieved and through which all the work is being completed by accomplishing the goals along with mentioning the issues and action which is taken to improve the issues (Miller, 2017).Thus, it is framed as – Goal –The goal is to become a productive travel agent in travel and tourism industry so that the goals and objectives are achieved on higher scale. How Goals can be Achieved –Goals for becoming a travel agent can be achieved bypossessing the basic skills and knowledge for the industry so that it helps in making my career significant and helps me in knowing what are the scales through which I am able to see myself at the position of travel agent (Homsey, 2021).Thus, this will helps me achieving my goal so that I am able to perceive my career in being the travel agent and serve the travel and tourism industry effectively and on significant scales. Issues -The issues which may arise as me being the travel agent can be the weaknesses which may affect the working and how I scale my performance through which the travel and tourism industry is not being hampered and that I contribute effectively and efficiently to the Marriott International.
