INTRODUCTIONCareer is process of strategies that an individuals undertake to held job, designation andtask during lifetime. Curriculum vitae (CV) is written document which contains personal details,education, experience when a person is applying for job profile. Career Action Plan is documentthat brings out learning for career development (Akkermans and et. al., 2015). Job positionidentified in this project is in retail industry and of Human Resource Manager which will havemajor roles and responsibilities. The designation will require skills to recruit, train, manage andcontrol employees so that talent management is effective in organisation. MAIN BODYPersonal AnalysisHR manager role in retail industry demands certain skills, knowledge and education sothat personnel on this job position is effective. There are certain skills that I will need so thatthere is positive impact on organisation's performance. Inter-personal Skills: These are those skills which helps individuals to interact and workwith others in working environment. This includes Self-Confidence, Relationship Management,Work Ethics, Body Language, Listening, Positive Attitude, etc. This is one of my strength andwill help me to be effective in managing employees and implementing policies. In retail industryall these skills are required so that employees have appropriate work ethics and buildrelationships with customers. Management Skills: This is basic skills that is required by any manager in organisationso that planning, organising and controlling is effectively carried out. HR Manager is required tosupervise, manage and control various activities in business so that there is less wastage ofresources (Reddan, 2015). This is one of my strength which will help me to plan taskseffectively and contribute in firm's productivity. Empathetic skills: HR Manager deals with employees on daily basis and listen to theirneeds, complaints and conflict at workplace. I am empathetic towards individuals which helpsme to understand and make judgement accordingly so that there is no dissatisfaction. In retailindustry it is important to listen, manage and control personnel so that there is less employeeturnover. 1

Training and Development Skills: The another and one of important function of HRManager is to train and develop required skills in staff. This ensures that performance andproductivity can be enhanced so that organisational objectives can be attained (Carnevale, Garciaand Gulish, 2017). I need to have knowledge about current situations so that training sessionscan be arranged and effective development comes up as result. Analytical Skills: This states research related skills which helps manager to analyse andinterpret business environment and identify opportunities. This also helps HR Manager to recruitand retain talented employees in organisation according to future need of business. I am good inresearch related tools and interpretation of results to find out useful information to assist inplanning. Current Skills and Knowledge: There are some skills and knowledge that are mystrength and weaknesses which will assist in completing roles and responsibilities as HRManager in retail industry (Stead and Davis, 2015). Here is the list which shows my presentstrengths and weaknesses:Strengths Weaknesses I am good in interpersonal skills which is oneof my biggest strength.I have gained experience of management skillsduring graduation which helps me to plan andexecute activities effectively. I am good in empathy which makes me feelstheir issues or problems and provide help.I can look after or identify need and problemspeople are facing in working and processes.I am good in primary and secondary researchand familiar with statistical tools. I lack in body language which hinders to markan impact on other individuals.Although my planing is good enough but I lackin area of execution which makes my planningimproper.This sometimes makes me emotional andpeople tries to take advantage.I lack in area of finding appropriate solution tofill the gap or resolving issues. The area where I lack is interpretation of datawhich makes my decisions making powerweak. The above table identifies my strengths and weaknesses which will help me to fulfil roles andresponsibilities as HR Manager in retail organisation.
