INTRODUCTION
To make ones career shining it is very important for a person to enter into a specific field
after qualifying a required educational qualification where one can present his competencies. To
fulfil this goal, I have adopted a field for specialization that is marketing in retail industry into
which I will be entering after fulfilment of my graduation course. The field will provide me a
chance of communicating various people which are unknown to me along with an option to
influence them in order to buy company's product and increase business sales (Lee, 2020).
Marketing specialization will surely enhance my career with flying colours and will also assist
me in developing my skills. In the present assignment various knowledge, experience and
competencies are being mentioned by me which all are required for getting job in a recognized
company.
ANALYSIS AND APPLICATION
General Trends that creates an impact on retail industry.
After getting a degree of MBA with marketing specialization, I have experienced a job in
few small marketing retail firms in market of London. In order to get development in career I
looked for various other renowned firms to work there so that I can get experience in this field
under renowned company which will enhance my career for future. Fir this I looked into a
website that can provide me opportunity in doing job for big company that is Indeed.co.uk or
naukri.com. While searching of my interest on indeed.co.uk I found a renowned multinational
retail firm that is TESCO for the position of marketing tasks planner under the team of marketing
operations. TESCO is best known for its retail services operating at multinational level along
with having a tough competition in market due to the presence of globalisation. To face such
tough competition in market company is required to have increment in its sales and for this there
is a necessary need of hiring esteemed and well experienced personal to make their efforts for
company's success. After looking for all the details and requirements of company being

ideas are always backed by innovation. Innovation in any kind of form that is always preferred
by customers and enhances company's productivity along with productivity (Avargil, Kohen and
Dori, 2020). Hence due to acceptance of new talent by company I got the opportunity to present
my skills and competencies in TESCO and develop my career at brilliant level.
With the help of resources such as secondary that comprises census report of government,
i analysed that TESCO fails at increasing its sales from last few years when compared to its rival
firms who deals in same kind of services and products offering into international market. The
main reason behind this is that company does not quickly adopts newest technologies or
innovation which is most important for companies especially those who are operating at
international level in order to meet competitive demands and have sustainability in market.
In regards to increase its sales ratio TESCO wishes to launch a new marketers who bears
bears highly technical skills for marketing function of company in required field. For this
TESCO has recently advertised a vacancy to be filled for vacant position as marketing events
planner along with giving authority of certain roles and responsibilities which are attached with
the post. In order to get familiarity with the company TESCO I approached various employees
who are currently working in organisation to know its internal organisational environment. After
the interaction I founded that there is a presence of work pressure in company where having at-
lest technological knowledge and skills are very much compulsory for every employee in
organisation.
