INTRODUCTIONCareer refers to a person's metaphorical journey through learning, work and other aspectsof life. It can be a process where people execute an elaborated evaluation over the career path inorder to monitor the sector to be getting entry and type of job to be selected (De Vos andCambré, 2017). In Current time tourism is a sector which make large and high level ofcontribution in the economic growth of the nation and there are high chances of growth anddevelopment. It is helpful to an individual to finding out various industries and select best amongthem for future job. As a fresher, it is time to choose a better sector in which I can pursue mycareer so for this I select travel and tourism industry. Because it is considered to be one of thefastest growing and developing industry which offer various career options. To do this researchon travel and tourism sector I have decided to For performing this investigation on retail sector Ihave decided to execute both primary and secondary research for the position of tour guide in atravel organisation. Analysis and ApplicationTravel and tourism sector is basically a part of hospitality industry and this sector is a castor large group business with on common goal that is to offer required or necessary products adservices to the travellers. Tourism sector is essential for the benefits it brings and due to its roleas a commercial activity that generate demand and growth for many more sectors. Tourism notonly make contribution towards more economic activities but also create job opportunities,revenues and play an effective role in the growth. Becoming a tour guide is one of the greatopportunity for each individual who want to pursue their career in travel and tourism as it offervarious option of growth. This is because a tour manger is responsible for controlling al theactions and activities which are performed in a tourism organisation and providing solution forthose issues which are facing by the clients. This all make contribution in enhancing those skillsand competencies which provide support in selecting better career path. To evaluate theimportance and effectiveness of this job role primary and secondary research has been executedwhich is as following:Secondary research- Within this kind of research, information is collected with the help ofdifferent sources where data is already published by others to do similar kind of research (Farisand Shuren, 2017). In this research, the information is collected fromdifferent sources like webpages, articles, internet, magazines, books and others. General trends which will impact on travel and tourism industry-A tour guide within a tourism organisation dealing with the travellers and tourist whocome to visiting different place of a specific nation. They have different needs likeentertainment, adventurous trips and others (Jiang, 2017). But despite of this, there are someother trends that are continuously experiencing by tourism sector as there is generating incrementin the players who came up in this sector with new and innovative services and products to attaincompetitive advantages. In Tourism sector, there are various major trends found like active andadventure trips, female solo travel, disaster and crisis planning , family reunion travel,technology, globalization and others which highly influence the operations executed by a tourguide in following manner: A tour guide must have information about various different destinations son that they canperform their duties in an effective manner and provide correct information to clientabout them. For this, they should visit different location and use internet to update theirknowledge about disaster and crisis so that during the time of offering their services thythey can provide information about these things to customers. The prediction of globalization has influenced the needs and demands of clients that theyhave against a company. The tour guide is responsible to provide information about thedifferent tour packages which are offered by the company in context of internationaltourism. So, the guide must be have information about the global trips and destinations toprovide information to the clients. Skills, knowledge and experience which are requiredA tour guide have various role and responsibilities as they have to manage different typesof clients and they are responsible to fulfil the needs of them, organising tours by groups, arrangethe necessary permits and others (Khlevniuk, Nordlander and Raleigh, 2015).
