Introduction:
This report will brief on the skills and expertise I require to develop in respect to get the
identified suitable job profile as a travel specialist. This report will highlight the personal
Analysis with context of my suitability for this job Profile. The travel specialist role is about
assisting people to explore their travelling passion throughput from their busy routines.
This field of profile needs highly organised and attentive person to understand people’s
concerns and address their expectations. This role suits somebody with keen interest in travel
and I wish to explore this tourism industry with this opportunity further. This report aims at
assessment of my own skillsets based on the rectified job profile of travel specialist and
further will include the career action plan in the tourism industry sector. This report will
additionally include my CV and LinkedIn profile for further professional growth.

Personal Analysis
Understanding my own interest for travel and tourism industry I found its significant to align
my skills and knowledge expertise with the trends in tourism industry job opportunities to
begin and excel travel as professional career. The Travel specialist job profile that I found
interesting and suitable to my areas of interest. The suitability of me for this profile is
understood as I developed these skills that match the requirements of the desired profile-
The problem-solving skills will assist me in tackling last minute hustles and customers
concerns with better ease. I noticed the growth of problem-solving skills right since the
duration of 2008-09 when I used to work with my uncle for repairing the computers, I further
found the technical basics through this phase.
The use of tools such as excel and office for tracking the trips and tours dates and
timelines for the journey will help me to address the tourism job responsibilities with my
technical expertise. The use of digital technologies such as mobile promotions capacity to
generate the influence and communication makes me a person that matches the requirements
stated in the job description explained previously.
The companies in travel sector will be looking for the person who can entertain client queries
as well as attain their concerns actively and enthusiastically. I nurture socialising as a
hobby and My passion for travel and the knowledge about the possible complexities will
serve the purpose here. My knowledge of transport necessaries will assist me in facilitating
good travel experience for my clients.
I found the time management skill is also reliably help me in generating the customer
experience by delivering them services on time. During my past work profile of driver for
dairy products transportation I managed the timely delivery and effectively handled the
financial billing part for the employer.
My negotiation skills match with the role needed to perform by the travel specialist as this
involves ability to convince clients for the offered deals withing the affordable price ranges
assuring the company doesn’t face any loss. As The tourism sector was hit by the Covid-19
pandemic issues preceded by the lockdown circumstances. It became more important for
travel sector firms to ensure their staff has negotiation skills to maintain the firm profit during
their travel ventures.
I noticed there is Lack of evidence in substantiating my negotiation skills to employers as
there is gap in practiced and mention of past experience when and where I effectively
practiced negotiation skills for any roles. This area needs to be aligned with more practical

evidences and their role specific application incidence. Further I think this lack of sufficient
evidence backing in negotiation areas will impose weaknesses to convince employer to
generate the interest in knowing me and may create their further demand for demonstration of
active negotiation practice.
I understood the key current strengths with the past evidences as the time management skill,
technical knowledge and tools expertise backed with the CAD design education evidence
and the problems solving skills backed with the work experience in past. The socialising
nature allows me to make a match for people centric travel industry. These skills highlight
the possibility of the professional growth in tourism industry as a travel Specialist. Further I
noticed there is scope for me to improve my negotiation skills and include the practical
mention of incidences of negotiation from past and current time.

The above identified skills needs to backed up with the robust career action strategy to
address personal development and specific career related actions to improve further. A Career
action plan can also make it easier for me to break interested and screen development toward
goals, letting me to save my projects and actions on schedule and, if appropriate, within
budget. A career plan is vital as it can help me to accomplish the course of my career, the job
specific knowledge and skills you may essential, how I can get them and how I can achieve
my dream profile. Emerging a career plan possibly make major purposes that seem
unbearable become much more achievable. If co-operating with others for my job roles, I can

skills.
Monitor the progress:
The improvement of skills such as negotiation and communication can be monitored by self
assessment on weekly basis by assigning demonstration tasks and tracking the progression
regularly. Further the academic progress can be analysed using the projects and completion of
assignments on timely manner. These assesments will also test my time management and
problem solving potential to attain good grades. Use of performance tracking via options like
google sheets can be useful to manage the tasks prority.

In this report I analysed the key skills and required professional aspects for the travel
specialist job role. Further this report added the personal analysis that intended to assist my
future professional career accomplishments. This report in later part included the career
action plan that involved SMART goals, actions needed along with the resources and
monitoring strategies. This report briefed on my LinkedIn profile in final part. Overall, this
report highlighted the current strengths and skills alignment with the career viewpoints in the
tourism industry. Additionally, the report highlighted the potential areas for growth and also
areas where I lack in evidence presentation these insights guided me to prepare for further job
