INTRODUCTION
Present report is based upon the study relating to the working in the construction
area and the aims of their report is to identify various ways or require skills to become
the successful project manager of the construction company. As construction company
is expanded in vast areas and sustain in market by its unique concept and ideas which
is carried by the person working in such company (Tien and Wang, 2017). Thus, this
report carries the matter relating to examining the general tends which causes impact
on the construction industry. I also feel that various aspects are to be considered which
is evaluated during selecting this job role and also tell other to prefer this job role for
longer term success.
ANALYSIS AND APPLICATION
1) General trends which will impact upon the construction industry
Construction industry refers to one of the most growing sectors in country which
resulting in carrying adequate planning, designing and financing the particular project.
Thus, the major impact which is carried by this perspective on jobs is that it requires the
skilled and trained person to handle the internal matters in better way (Tijssen, van de
Klippe and Yegros, 2019). As construction business is succeeded if the person came up
with new project or design which is different from the existing company.
Seymour (2019) stated that the skills which is needed for this job is that carrying
the innovative and creative knowledge to bring innovative ideas in the projects. The
another skills which is needed for this job is to carry good communication and
management skills, so that work is to be accomplished in better way. The impact of
globalization and technology arises in respect of giving rise to the construction company
through providing more productivity or collaboration with the foreign clients or also gets
more projects (Loosemore and Bridgeman, 2017). Through the impact of technology, it
results in providing the projects in safer hands and also new design are attained in the
project to make the project unique and different from others.
Li and et.al., (2018) in respect of globalization, the impact raises regarding
getting free flow of goods and services and also he gets skilled and trained employees
or get different culture people to attain the task. For e.g. In case of dealing in the project

in different countries, the people working with the company belong to that country guide
and share the latest trends which attract the local people. Through this manner, the
business enhanced by dealing in the latest concept which is emerging in that country.
2) The skills/ knowledge and experiences required
Rostami (2016) suggested that the major skill which is required in respect of
applying for the post of the project manager in construction company is team
management. As the work which is attained in construction industry is managed by the
team and also the employees are satisfied and guided to attain the task within the set
time period. Thus, team management is necessary in monitoring the work of employees
and also assign day to day task, so that they can provide effective results.
Perera, Adeniyi and Babatunde (2017) highlights that the another skills which is
required for this post is that of planning and communication. As they had to carry the
effective communication skill, through interacting with every employee and also
coordinate with the clients after finalizing their design or work which is guided to them.
Planning is the third skills which is to be carried by the project mangers in respect of
carrying planning for every minute things and then setting a milestone to be achieved
within the stipulated time period.
Zhang (2017) examined that the another skills is relating to organizing the work
in better way. As the person must clear with their views and work which they had to
achieved or completed on next day. Thus, resulting in carrying the good management
skill to organize the work in better way. The next skills which is indulged in the person is
relating to prioritizing the matters. In this the person had to reset the task in respect of
keeping the priority task on the top and then plan, according to the set scheduling.
According to the Khamaksorn (2016) the knowledges which is required in
managing the work related to construction company is related to technology. In this they
carry the expertise in learning new software or also the latest app which is emerging in
market. Through the use of technology they can easily reduce the work load and also
attract with the global market regarding examining the new trends which is attaining in
market. Thus, technology is one of the major demand which is needed in the people if
they are applying for the post of project manager.

As per Wakelin-Theron, Ukpere and Spowart (2019) the another knowledges and
expertise which is needed for this job is relating to the maths and language literacy. In
this the person carry the good calculation about the designing and also the material
which is used to prepare the accurate building. If the person carry the good knowledge
about the maths, they can deal in accurate planning and also reduces the waste in the
company.
EVALUATION
Before preferring this job, I learned so many new things about these jobs and
also heard many positive reviews from the person regarding preferring the career in this
particular filed. Thus, the main reason of choosing this job is that I feel there are lot of
vacancies and the person who wants to get employment, can prefer this type of job. I
examined that the person can easily get the job in this filed but to sustain or to
enhances the job post it requires lot of skills and knowledges to attain the task (Yaxley,
2017). The skills which I find is required in this job is creativity. As due to changes in
time, the preferences of people regarding choosing the construction company is relating
to the bringing creative and innovative ideas through which they can save the light,
energy or also reuse the products to get the organic things at home only (10 Essential

The reason behind finding this job role interesting is lot of new things and ideas
are to be grabbed by interacting with the clients and examining their point of view of
presenting the thoughts (Donald, Baruch and Ashleigh, 2017). The another reason
which I find this job interesting is learning the new technology usage and also applying
them to learn the way which is used by other construction company in changing the
market trends. The potential choice which is gained from this industry is relating to the
communication skills. As before I realize that I am not so comfortable in communicating
with the person or sharing the thought or views with them. But by choosing this field,
resulting in becoming the potential choice of mine by interacting with the clients freely
and also working as per the direction which is instructed by them.
This job is one of the fastest growing sector, thus I feel that the if any person
prefer this job as their carrier, it results in helping them to manage their life in better
way. The chances of growth are also enhanced and also they can enhance their

learning skill through interacting with the clients and learning their technique to attain
task in better manner (Wolf, 2019). I examined that this is the emerging job which
provides growth to the person if they apply innovative ideas in their work. In respect of
future perspective, the person can easily grow in this filed as limited person prefer this
field and grow their career in the construction area. During the research, I feel that
various point are not relevant to the topic and also it takes time to interpret that point.
The point which is related is safety issues, as it reflects the negative aspects of the
construction business (Gaio Santos and Martins, 2019). But the points which is
interpreted by the company regarding the safety issues also secures the right of the
persons. Thus, by these aspects, I feel that the whole report is prepared in right way
and also all point are discussed and presented in relevant manner.
CONCLUSION
From the above study, the report concludes the matters relating to examining the
industry of construction which is one of the growing sectors in the recent times. In
respect of sustaining the position in the construction company, it in necessary that
unique ideas and strategies is to be adapted by the person regarding retaining the
interest of the clients for longer way. In context of attaining success, various skills and
knowledges are examined in this report such as skills which are relating to planning,
organizing, prioritizing, communication and team management which results in
interacting with the employees in right way.
It is also stated that the knowledge which is to be carried by the project manager
such as technology, Math and language Literacy are two major knowledges which helps
in examining the actual position of the business and helps in reducing the waste. The
factors which is evaluated by undertaking the overall planning resulting in gaining
various facts and information which is useful in making changes. I also realized that by
preferring this job opportunity results in building strong links with the company who are
dealing in building the resorts or top property in country.
