INTRODUCTION
Graduate employment and graduate job refers a position which requires a minimum of
undergraduate degree for an individual (Mok and Jiang, 2017). This present study is based on
marketing job role in which graduate individual want to enter. After my graduation I want to
perform roles of marketing as I think that I have some skills which can help me out in
performing roles of marketing in an effective manner and also improving career. Main aim of
this study is to identify own skills, requirement of knowledge for performing basic roles after
graduation. This study will discuss all current trends and roles required to perform in marketing,
problem associated with it and all. The main aim of this report is to identify skills which are
required for performing marketing role. Further, it will also discuss some skills which are
required in an individual after graduation for performing roles of marketing such as:
communication, research and development, problem solving and others.

General trends which can impact on chosen profession
It is important to gather information related to marketing profession as what changes often
occurs, problems which companies faces and all. By participating in career development
program where total participants were 50 and were around 10 marketing manager of different
organizations. They told all of us about requirement of basic skills in performing marketing role
like communication and research and development (Mago, 2017). They also made all people
known about effectiveness of marketing and using appropriate methods by which employees can
accomplish goals, take competitive advantages and attract customers to the great extent.
They told appropriate ways of dealing with customers, working under pressure and ways of
solving problems. At the end of the event, some employees asked some questions from
marketing managers related to this profession like Problems faced by marketers, the most
choosing way of marketing between digital and traditional and ways of satisfying customers and
solving marketing related problem which are:
In the context of problems associated with marketing role it is found in this regard that several
organizations and marketed face problems of satisfying changing needs of customers. Customers

are becoming health conscious and in several industries like apparel, retail and others, customers
requirements getting changed in rapid manner and changing own strategies accordingly can
increase cost and time as well. It may sometimes become reason of frustration and failure in
attracting customers and increasing sales.
It is found from information and articles that nowadays most of the larger organizations
are using digital marketing because they find easier in approaching and interacting with global
customers and many customers at once. There are several factors which need to be considered
while attracting global customers. Some factors vary culture to culture and it create some
problems such as taste of people and their different lifestyle. Different cultures of people have
different taste so, while making planning it is important for manager to add all values and
elements which can satisfy needs of different culture of people or modify products as per the
needs of customers. It reduces their time and cost as well. One of the other reason is increasing
use of technology and globalization and people make use of social media to the great extent and
due to this reason, companies focus on digital rather than traditional marketing.
It is important to know about appropriate ways and strategies which are being used by
successful companies in solving problems and satisfying changing needs of customers, In this
regard it is found that allowing customers’ to share their views, giving feedbacks, providing post
sale services, being in contact after sale are some ways. When customers are allowed to share
their views regarding products and when company take all their views into consideration and
make changes in their products accordingly and also when they get post sale services then it
makes customers feel valued and increase loyalty (Alonso-Gonzalez, 2017). It is one of the best
way of increasing customer retention rate.
From secondary research some information regarding marketing is gathered and it is found
that globalization is having critical impacts on marketing. All developing countries are getting
several opportunities of business expansion, interacting with global customers, establishing
markets in new countries and increasing sales. By using global marketing and social media they
are saving money which can increase their profit margin.
On the other hand, it is also found that due to increasing use of technology and
globalization, small and medium size companies are facing problems in attracting customers as
initially they require investing money in social media for developing website, promoting goods.
Due to lack of availability, they are becoming fail in attracting customers. But by making use of
