Introduction
Event management is a growing field involve planning and management of small and
large-scale events such as festivals, trade shows, and product launches. However, event
managers are required to work on intensive programs using the available resources to adopt new
and creative ideas in making an attractive event (Jones, 2017). A successful event requires the
individual to gain new skills in becoming better results, for example, individuals are required to
have good interpersonal skills, flexible nature and time resources, be energetic to work on
stressful situations, and bring out new ideas to accomplish a creative plan to attract the attendees
of the event (Parent & Chappelet, 2017).
The assignment is focused on a detailed plan evaluation for Carnal Festival in bringing
the plan to a colorful yet attractive event for the locals so that adequate charity funds can be
collected to help poor getting better life opportunities. The plan is required to be evaluated with
different models and frameworks to set a focus and formulate perspective. It has several parts
which discuss the financial and non-financial resources for the event so that it can be successful
and overcome any hurdle affecting its performance.
Overview – Carnal Festival
Carnal Festival is a recreational event for every age group, it is a paid event, and
however, the collected funds will be used for charity. Therefore, it is targeting all types of
people; the attraction for people with this event is to contribute towards goal development across
Abu Dhabi. It will be a three-day event full of traditional recreational activities so that they can
enjoy their time and money (St John, 2018).

There will be food stalls, swings
for children, stand-up comedy,
and the live concert; the events
will go on for three days with all
these activities, this will maintain
the flow of people throughout the
days. New activities will be
introduced with each day; it will
help the event company to
increase awareness among people, will help the people to boost funds, and develop pride for
traditional Abu Dhabi festivals and traditions. It will encourage people to bring children to the
event so that they can understand their traditions and history (Guerra, 2019; Guerra,
2016). Other details of the event are given below.
5Ws Framework for Carnal Festival
The model is followed by different questions to follow well-versed areas in website
development, social media, print media, web marketing, and other events planning approach.
The planning process is defined with Who, What, Where, Why, and When to answer the
questions associated with answering the foundation questions for the planning process from the
initiation point in accomplishing their targets (Gordon, 2016). The assessment is as followed,

WHO: it is focused on the target audience of the festival, it also considers the
differentiation of VIP attendees, the special needs and features to be needed by the event
management. The key
audience will be people of all
age group, social structure,
and locals. The Governor and
Ministry of the area of the
local area will be the VIP
attendees attending the event
on the first day, and after that,
it will be open for locals.
Besides, special attention will be given to especially able people and their needs; volunteers will
be working throughout the event to help the people with special needs, food needs will be taken
care of (Mair & Duffy, 2017).
WHAT: These are focused on outlining the objectives of the event with a developed
agenda. There will be keynotes for the speakers, the mayor, and other VIPs to guide the people
and increase their awareness. With this event, topics like social issues will be highlighted so that
people can be encouraged to come forward with their problems and seek solutions. The agenda
will be prepared for a span of three days; the awareness campaign will be divided to cover the
three days of the event (Christiansen & Olwig, 2017).
WHERE: the Carnal Festival will be held on the 24th of May 2019 located at Emirates
Palace Auditorium, Abu Dhabi, the time will be from 04:00 PM to 11:00 PM, there will be no
