INTRODUCTIONStephen Robert Irwin (1962-2006) also known as Steve Irwin was one of the mostfamous Australian Zookeeper, television personality and conservationist nicknamed as “TheCrocodile Hunter”. He gained popularity and became world famous from the television series“The Crocodile Hunter”. it was an internationally broadcasted wildlife documentary serieswhich he used to co-host with his wife Terri Raines ( Gibson, 2007 ). After getting famousfrom this documentary series they hosted various other series such as The Crocodile HunterDiaries, Croc Files, New Breed Vets. Steve Irwin and his wife used to operate an AustralianZoo founded by Irwin’s parents in Beerwah. In this assignment psychoanalysis of Steve Irwinwill be done and his both personal and professional life will be explained with a link betweenhis interior life and in his work or in other words his both life and work will be related to eachother in detail with a psychoanalysis theory of humanistic psychology.MAIN BODYProjectionProjection means projecting undesirable emotions or feelings onto someone else,rather than admitting or dealing with those unwanted feelings. Projection can be both positiveand negative. By projecting one’s ideal aspirations or hopes onto another they are positiveprojection. By projecting some disturbing thought’s or believes it can be negative projection. Steven Irwin loved his job; he would feel happiest and enthusiastic whenever he wasin a situation which most of the people feared off. Because of his work he was both loved andhated by different kind of people ( Brown, 2010 ). Some people would think that the was madthat he used to put himself in dangerous situations but some of the people used to love himbecause of the same. He was known as a crocodile hunter but he didn’t hunted animals butrather he used to hunt for fun stories, some educational stories, wanted to learn andunderstand about some of the deadliest animals in the world. He was one of those personswho wasn’t afraid of being in dangerous situations but rather he used to always step aheadand looked forward to understand and new things related to them. According to Freud,projection allows people to feel like others or relate to them. According to this Steve Irwinused to relate himself to his father and used to relate himself to him as his father was also anAustralian Zookeeper, naturalist and conservationist. Psychobiography was Steve Irwin wasis definitely a non-judgmental, development and psychoanalytic.
