INTRODUCTIONIn the following case study 2 prominent models known as risk-responsivity model &good lives model are discussed. It has case scenario's through which elements of these modelsare connected. These help in understanding a criminals psychology and the treatment of suchpeople. It later bifurcates into their proper elements and several risk factors one has to go throughto treat and help such offenders (Xiumei and et. al., 2017).SECTION-AThe provided short essay includes the model theory of understanding offenders called asthe good lives model. This principle helps in understanding offenders for the fact of people whohave been recovering with the help of rehabilitation and holistic environment which involvesseveral risk factors appeared while treating such person. This theory helps people in gaining theirlives back on track and maintain proper case of mental state so that in future they never re-offend. Such people are seen to do such offences due to some need in their lives and performsuch articulation of performing such criminal offences. As relevant to the call of matt this personnever in took drugs or got involved in any sort of addiction towards things they smuggled butwas doing such things to full fill his basic necessities in life. It was seen that even when he wasfound guilty of smuggling and was sent behind bars, he was seen doing nothing and after someinspections he was allowed parole and start a good life(Nair and et. al., 2017).This type of model helps in providing strength mentally and physically to make theoffender first, never repeat crime and second, to create a different life for them where they havean aim and a person to live with. It lets people explore their deep roots and find a path ofcapabilities which will help them achieve a normal life with all attributes to complete theirlifestyle. The model completely refers to conditions of matt in the relevant case scenario of matt. After crossing his whole offence charges without any issues within the prison, he settled downwith a girl named Ali because after getting developed with help of this method or principle. In basic terms this model helps in reforming lives of people who are caught in themoment of an illegal activity or are performing due to some life needs and basic requirement.Like in case of matt he was not a having any addiction towards the things but he was onlyworkings to help and figure out money and since he was not that educated he could not have anyother reputed job.
