Knowledge Management Strategy and its adaption
The Knowledge Management Strategy of Siemens in Spain is created upon the basis of
the creation of the knowledge management roadmap of the organization. This roadmap has been
imposed on the company to ensure the knowledge management strategy alignment with the
strategies of the business (García-Holgado & García-Peñalvo 2016). The company has
implemented the business strategy by the implementation of the e-business strategic plan. This
included nine different strategic elements. Apart from this, it also ensured a strong emphasis on
the CoP construction.
Development of Worldwide Knowledge Management initiatives
The management of Siemens implemented a worldwide scheme in order to develop
different kinds of knowledge management initiatives. The management of Siemens in order to
achieve such a feat created a coherent structure to ensure that the infrastructure design was
totally correct (García-Holgado & García-Peñalvo 2016). This enabled the effectiveness of the
knowledge management process as the process was totally based on the strategic planning of the
business organization. The Knowledge Management team was thus highly effective in meeting
the targets of creating a large base of proper and effective business knowledge.
Development of Roadmap for Knowledge Management
The management of Siemens used the Knowledge Strategy Process as an instrument that
the owners and the management team of the Knowledge Management team used to construct and
apply the different such plans. The Knowledge management roadmap was created from the
guidelines that were formulated by the management of the business organization. The roadmap

consists of five steps. The first step included the context of the business as well as the strategies
and goals. The second step is used to identify the areas of the knowledge that are appropriate for
the business organization. The third and fourth steps involve the analysis of the critical
performance and the analysis of the impact of the knowledge areas respectively. The last step
involves the analysis of the status of the selected knowledge areas and the needs for their
improvement.
Development of local communities and identification of key knowledge
The development of local knowledge is considered to be a strategic goal of the business
organization. The following strategic goal has been selected because of the presence of a full
support from the business organization. The management team of the business organization
undertook a large role in the designing of the community’s infrastructure and also ensuring they
followed a set of different standard procedures.

The reasons behind the application of knowledge by the management of Siemens AG are
as follows;
