There are a wide range of devices that can be connected throughthee implementation of the technique through which the activity which are conducted in thedaily life can be changed. This change is for the betterment reducing the overall effort ahuman being exerts in achieving some kind of benefit from a technology (Uhl & Gollenia,2016). According to the definition of the internet of things it stated that, an internet of thing isa network of internet connected objects that are able to exchange and collect information ordata using the technology of sensors which are embedded. On the other hand, any standalonedevice which can be connected to the internet which can be monitored or controlled fromanywhere can be considered as an internet of things device (Mocker et al., 2016). This report put direct emphasis on the concept of the internet of things with puttinglimelight on the concept of enterprise systems’ integrated with the internet of things (IoT).Summary of the articleThe case study which can be directly related to the topic which is Enterprise Systems’integration with Internet of Things (IoT) is the IBM: Drive enterprise transformation throughthe internet of thing. IBM is considered as a company which is at a forefront at helping theclients to Implement new technology that can reform the operation efficiency as well asrecast the customer experience, enables companies to reimagine how the industry related totheir operation operates and revolutionize the overall model with the aspect of the business. Itis not a secret that the technology which is related to the internet of thing has developed andmainly evolved over the past few years (Jaluka , Meliksetian & Gupta, 2016). puttingemphasis on the availability which is related to the data, affordable sensors and theconnection which is considered to be fast have radically developed or increase in the context.

This transformation is sometimes very much complex in order toachieve a specific business area, in this concept the IBM is overall as a whole body in orderto incorporate those ideas into the business area (Bui, 2017).One of the way in which the IBM is helping other organisation to achieve the standardset by the internet of things is that by providing an infrastructure which is technological inorder to launch a new business line. The concept of wireless communication and sensors havehelped the company in order to achieve the monitoring aspect. Daimler which was founded inthe year 1964 was one of the world’s premier automotive manufacturer which emphasised onproducing high recognizable branch for example Maybach, Mercedes and freightliners(Sharma, Sharma & Mishra, 2017). Not satisfied with the concept of the internet of things,the company turned its interest to IBM in order to help them launch car2go which mainlyrepresents a bold reimaging of the role of the automakers in the transportation industry, andnone of what it would implement would have been impossible without the basic concept ofthe internet of things.The result of the case studyTaking into account the opportunity to order process, putting emphasis on a projectwas mainly delivered on time to the streamline mid-market sales deal registration. Using thebasic concept of the rules and the workflow in the automation technology with the frameworkof the IBM, ODM and the BPM, the project reduced the deal registration cycle time andultimately the sales win rate (Lu et al., 2017).As a part of the procure to pay process a project was delivered in order to improve theinstructions of the IBM’s supply chain. The project has mainly delivered annual saving ofover $2m by mainly improving the timeless related to the notification when the supply chain
