INTRODUCTION This Report is providing information about resistance to change in organization. Study of external change is provided for McDonald's through concept map. Concept Map Resistance to Change Resistance to change is an action that is taken by individual person or a group because people feel insecure in condition change implementation. Resistance to change is tendency of employee because they consider change as threatFernandez & Rainey, (2017). There are different reason the show resistance to change in organization procedure and methods. Some of reason are as follows. It is important for McDonald's to manage this resistance to implement changes in organization. Insecurity of Job 1
Employeesshowsresistancebecausechangesthataregoingtobeimplementin organization will be strange for them and this will reduce their productivity in future. They develop thinking that company will fire them on basis of this low performance and efficiency. Peer Pressure This is also difficult for them to perform as expectation of seniors and supervisors. This put them in huge pressureBirchler, (2015). To avoid this pressure the show resistance to change in organization. Fear of Failure Fear of failure is also one of reason of resistance because fear to failure reduce their motivation level and this fear make them to resist the change to maintain their performance and productivity constant in McDonald's. Organizational Policies Policies of organization force are based on concept to get maximum performance from employeesBarak, (2018). This concept make the employees to resist change with in operations to avoid failure in delivering proper output. CONCLUSION Brief information of change resistance has been provided in report for MacDonald's. Different reasons of this resistance has been analysed in study. 2
