conducting this research study, it will help many scholars and researchers in successful completion of their
research project. It will also provide deep insight related to benefits and limitations of monitoring
performance of employees on regular basis. With increase in the motivation level, employees will perform
with full dedications and efforts for attaining the set defined business goals in a cost effective manner. It will
thus improves overall business efficiency and increases the profitability level and customer base as well
(Shields and et.al., 2015).
Literature Review
As per the view point of Miron and Gulosino, (2016), for reviewing the performance of employees
there should be proper mechanism for evaluating the level of performance. By adopting accurate metrics for
measuring the performance, a company can easily assess the progress or growth of its employees as well as
business operations. Also, it will assist in determining all the core strengths and weaknesses of its employees
and areas which requires improvements. By monitoring operational performance, it helps in determining
which business strategy and plan needs modification and changes. It also assists in increasing motivation
level of employees as they will feel respected and supported by their management. Productivity and
profitability margin will increase with improvement in the level of performance of employees as per the
strategies made. Also, it will attract large customer base and helps in retention as well.
On the other hand Kuranchie - Mensah and Amponsah - Tawiah, (2016), if performance of
employees is continuously reviewed or monitored for long time frame, then it can result in decrease in
working efficiency of employee as they will feel insecure. Also, it will hamper the continuity of their work
flow which is resultant of keeping employees under observation always. This will in turn result in increase in
the employees turnover and declining in the level of profitability as well as productivity of the company.
Proposed Research Methods
Research methodology is a process in all the data and information related to the subject matter of
research will be collected and analysed for successful completion of the research study. It further assists in
the decision making process related to use of available research resources.
Research Approach
It is a procedure which defines the steps or plans related to the assumptions to be made in the process
of data collection, analysis and interpretation for having better understanding of research project. It is of two
types: Deductive and Inductive (Silverman, 2016). Deductive deals with developing of hypothesis and
research strategy while inductive focuses on observation and research questions for narrowing the scope of
study. Researcher will use Inductive approach for completing this research project as it provides deep insight
about subject.
Data collection
For completing research project, researcher will use both sources of data collection viz. Primary and
secondary. Questionnaire prepared will be used for gathering data from 20 managers of Morrisons company
related to the research topic.

Sampling
For gathering data, random sampling method has been used as it is impossible for researcher to
collect data from the large population. Therefore, sampling method will be used in which sample will be
collected from different number of individuals selected randomly.
Data Analysis
For analysis data gathered, Thematic method will be used by researcher as it will go best with the
qualitative research type (Kumar, 2019). All the data and information gathered will be analysed by using best
and appropriate data analysis tools.
