INTRODUCTIONRailway Regional Fleet project include the vision to replace overall trains with new ones whichare up to 36 years old in order to improve standards of rail facilities to passengers traveling fromSydney to certain regional areas (Bakerand Bagis,2014). The present report is based on theselected project named as Railway Regional Fleet which is proposed in Western Australia forimproving the safety of people by using innovative technology in new trains. This assignmentwill focus on background of given project and project risk management framework along withreviewing industry. It will also include need of Western Australian Government regarding thisproject and feasibility of the same.MAIN BODYBackgroundThe Railway Regional Fleet is all about to replace old trains by introducing new ones in order toprovide better facilities and increase security of people. However, the NSW Government isreplacing the ageing NSW regional rail fleet of XPT, XPLORER and Endeavour trains thatconsists trains which are up to 36 years old. It also include the new train maintenance facilitywill be developed in Dubbo in respect of stimulating the regional economy as well as providehelp for creating sustainable job opportunities. In addition to this, it has a beneficial criterion toincreasing safety of people and improves comfort level, accessibility as well as reliability forpassengers who were traveling from Sydney to several regional centres such as Canberra,Melbourne and Brisbane. Moreover, this project include particular contract that consistdesigning, building, financing and maintaining the new regional rail fleet(Amery-Gale,2018).Furthermore it also consist the criterion of building, designing and maintenance along withoperating the fresh purpose built fleet maintenance facility in Dubbo.Literature reviewIdentifying the PM Risk frameworkThe project management risk framework can be described as set of several principlewhich provide support manage overall activities in proper manner to complete particular projectwith better outcomes. It is necessary to focus on these guidelines which facilitate to improve theeffectiveness of project by reducing risk factors in an appropriate way.
