INTRODUCTION
The present study is based upon the case study and this inter agency report work mainly
comprise of the multiple factors associated with the Ted and Mary case study and in reference to
the differing cultural needs in communities within UK. This study examines how information
sharing has been perceived as cultural issue and how it has influence on delivery of health and
social care. This study also demonstrates the key agencies associated with dealing of specific
complex case. Furthermore, the present study demonstrates the attributes of multi-disciplinary
team and skills possessed by the leaders. To effectively reflect on the areas which needs to be
developed and evaluate cultural needs of communities.
MAIN BODY
Question 1
Analysing the multiple factors associated with the case study and in reference to the differing
cultural needs in communities within UK, especially when to share information.
As per the case study, Mary is an elderly women who is aged 78 years. Mary’s husband
Ted has been tied to the chair in the fear that in her absence he might walk away, burn the house
down and even hurt himself. The volunteer has also observed that, Mary has lost weight and
states that, Ted is frail and also has difficulty in remembering things. Mary seems to be shaky
and teary when the community centre offered her to provide with the local health services. The
same information in turn has been shared to the manager, Gill who has been working on an aged
care assessment team without even disclosing the identity of Mary. However after the assessment
of the case the Gill has decided to effectively proceed without seeking consent of Mary and Ted.
This is because the Ted is highly vulnerable and is also at the high degree of risk of the serious
harm. However, the Gill has contacted the local health service and social care assessment team
visits Mary and tends to provide support for both Ted and Mary in emotional as well as practical
manner.
As per the (Riordan and et.al., 2015) believe that, UK is a diverse cultural society which
tends to mainly focus on developing the own culturally heritage, beliefs, language and attitudes.
Information sharing is considered to be useful in effectively ensuring that the elderly clients
receives the type of care and help they need in order to live on an independent basis. Information
sharing is considered to be as one of the most significant measure which has to be done within

the health and social care sector in order to gain better care results and outcomes. It is considered
to be important for the health and social care organizations to comply by the law in order to
significantly share information and improves the care of the patient. Sharing of crucial
information with the agency or council health service is to effectively provide the best possible
care for the patient and it is significant in reducing of the pressure on the urgent set of care
services. It helps in providing the care treatment to the party at the earliest in order to live a
healthy and prosperous life. Failure to share the key relevant information in turn results in harm
to the respected party which in turn likely affects the health of the individual person.
Communication is considered to be one of the significant aspect which mainly focuses on
sharing and also transferring the key relevant information among all the cultures which is useful
in identifying and also examining the effective major traits. As per the Coyne and et.al., (2016)
believe that, in this specific case it is considered to be of crucial relevance which is useful in
effectively dealing with the key relevant problems and must also facilitate care for an individual.
Information sharing must be in proper consent with the parties. But, in this specific case
relevance, Ted condition has been continuously deteriorating and he was at the high degree of
risk to harm. It means it is important to take such action to provide them with the best possible
care and outcomes. In case it has been guarded by the law and the rules it is considered to be of
utmost importance and relevance to improve the sharing of the information by effectively
outweighing the individual as well as the public interest. Disclosing and sharing of the
information to the health care organization without the consent of the patient and family
members is done when the patient is at higher risk of getting hurt or cause harm to himself and
his partner.
Examining how information sharing has been perceived as cultural issue and its influence on
delivery of health and social care.
Information sharing in turn has been significantly influenced by the large number of
factors. It comprises of both inter- professional differences and professional interrelation. The
information has been significantly provided by complying with the health and social act, 2015. It
is of utmost relevance to effectively comply with the aims and the information sharing rules in
order to deliver the best possible care services with high degree of relevance and importance
(Papoutsi and et.al., 2015). The influence of the culture is wide within the health and social
sector. This is mainly because of they belong to the different culture, perspective, belief and
