This presentation discusses the causes of abortion, its impact on society, countries mainly affected, and recommendations. It also highlights the need to increase public funds for abortion and build capacity to advocate for the rights to safe abortion.

Abortion
• Abortion is the moment when a pregnancy is
terminated so that birth does not occur
• There are centers which allow abortion and
some of these centers are legally allowed by
the law to perform an abortion.
• Some countries do not allow abortion like
South America, Africa, Europe, Asia and
Europe

Causes Related to Abortion
• Failure of birth control bills
• Inability to care or support for the baby
• Rape
• Mental or physical conditions which may
endanger the health of a woman if the
pregnancy is continued
• To prevent the birth of a baby with severe
medical conditions or birth defects

Bad Impact on the Society
• Lead to stress no matter the woman’s age or
situation
• Abortion may lead to a risk of ectopic
pregnancy in future, the chance of miscarriage
and even lack of children
• Lead to lifetime regret

Increase the Availability of Public Fund for Abortion
• Public funds to offer subsidized family
planning come from different state and federal
programs.
• The centralized government ensures that
reserves are available for the process of family
planning services using four main sources.

Build Capacity to Advocate for the Rights to Safe Abortion
• International Campaign for Women’s Right to
Safe Abortion is a network of regional,
international, and national organizations,
individuals as well as groups which is in more
than 100 nations

• Women try to prevent pregnancy from
occurring but it is so unfortunate that it occurs
and since it is unwanted, they end up aborting
• The society punishes women who abort in
different ways

Recommendation
• Nations which do not allow abortion should
consider those cases when the woman’s life is
in danger and other health conditions
• Women should use family planning to prevent
unwanted pregnancy
