I have efficaciously done and completed my Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering with my
projects perfectly done during this time. I as well did several mechanical engineering projects,
some of these projects I undertook at my college includes;

3. The technical proposal, budgeting for FPSO and Semi-submersible.

Working as a Senior Structural Engineer in the Floating Structures, Moorings and Risers
Section. My space of work basically dealt with making some technical proposals reports,
performing the structural assessment and design verification mainly by carrying out finite
element analysis using DNV GL software for various types of floating structures like FPSOs,
Semi-Submersibles (Hill, 2012).

identifying the critical areas and performing fatigue related remedial measures in order to
provide cost-effective solutions for the marine ship. Nevertheless, I was capable to lead and
manage the project along with also supporting on the technical study of it and this highly boosted
the effective undertaking of the project. This is still an ongoing work, however, with our
solution, it helped the client to identify and prepare a remedy plan to mitigate the critical areas.
For the application of engineering knowledge and skills to solve the problem I would
categorically say that it was my knowledge and skills from working on a large number of
projects from ABS company as well as working from DNV, discussion with site surveyors in the
organization among others, reading the inspection reports, abetted me to fathom the defects in
the structural aspect of the marine ship and what I can do to help me alleviate them based on the
identifications of their root cause analysis. The chief role played by me in the ABS and DNV
was basically the roles of the structural engineer- I was playing exclusively the roles of a
structural engineer in these organizations. For the time I was working in these organizations as a
senior structural engineer I received some rewords like verbal appreciation from both the clients
and technical lead. I perfectly undertook these responsibilities and duties which made the
organizations have a lot of trust in me and my profession as I was doing what was expected of
me as a senior structural engineer (Hofmann, 2016).

Technical proposal, budgeting for FPSO and Semi-submersible
identifying the critical areas and performing fatigue related remedial measures in order to
provide cost-effective solutions for the marine ship. Nevertheless, I was capable to lead and
manage the project along with also supporting on the technical study of it and this highly boosted
the effective undertaking of the project. This is still an ongoing work, however, with our
solution, it helped the client to identify and prepare a remedy plan to mitigate the critical areas.
For the application of engineering knowledge and skills to solve the problem I would
categorically say that it was my knowledge and skills from working on a large number of
projects from ABS company as well as working from DNV, discussion with site surveyors in the
organization among others, reading the inspection reports, abetted me to fathom the defects in
the structural aspect of the marine ship and what I can do to help me alleviate them based on the
identifications of their root cause analysis. The chief role played by me in the ABS and DNV
was basically the roles of the structural engineer- I was playing exclusively the roles of a
structural engineer in these organizations. For the time I was working in these organizations as a
senior structural engineer I received some rewords like verbal appreciation from both the clients
and technical lead. I perfectly undertook these responsibilities and duties which made the
organizations have a lot of trust in me and my profession as I was doing what was expected of
me as a senior structural engineer (Hofmann, 2016).

At the American Bureau of shipping which is located in Singapore, I was basically undertaking
the duties in shipping of the marine ship and I was designated as an engineering specialist.

Specialist in Hull Plan Approval Engineer in the Ships' group. And in this organization, my

At the American Bureau of shipping which is located in Singapore, I was basically undertaking

space of work entails the design assessment of ships and statutory reviews like COLREG,
SOLAS, Load Lines and other Regulatory Affairs. It also dealt with technical project
management. As part of project management, I am also doing the coordination of Managers/
Ship Owners and Field Surveyors on the monotonous technical queries regarding Survey
activities and implications of ABS & Flag Statutory Rule Requirements (Kumar, 2011). I
perfectly undertook my duties in the organization and performed as required by the organization.
During the period I was working as an Engineering Specialist at the Ship Engineering
Department at ABS, Singapore, I perform my key responsibility and job duties like doing the
ship structure and statutory design review for several kinds of small vessels. These small vessels
include the accommodation barges, landing craft, offshore support vessel, Passenger crafts as
well as Catamaran, for ABS Rules using prescriptive and finite element analysis (FEA). Also, be
fully competent for handling and perfectly do the whole project and ensure that I do a
coordination of the assigned team for the project like a shipyard, Surveyor, designer, and owner.
During the period of January 2012 – November 2014 working in AMERICAN BUREAU OF
SHIPPING, Singapore I managed to do about ten projects within that short period of 3 years.
On this engineering organization, I managed to projects which entail designers/
shipyards for the Indonesia, Australia, Singapore, India, and China which are dealing with
handling people having multicultural backgrounds. During my working time in this
organization, my Problem area was to build in Chinese yard, plan approval of one Propelled
barge, designed by an Australian designer, Classed with ABS, causing a large no of stakeholders.
The vessel had a very complicated technical history – Originally an un-manned barge, required
to be used for inland Australian waters and was acceptable to be designed for Australian NSCV
guidelines. However, then due to the possibility of selling it to a new owner, it was converted
