The name of theproject was Qatar Handball Association Complex. The location of this particular project was in
Duhail, Doha. The project started in the month of August in 2013 and ended in the month of July2015. The total value of this project was 197 Million US Dollars and the total value of the facadecontract was 18.5 Million US Dollars. The client of Qatar Handball Association Complex projectwas Private engineering Office. The consultant of Qatar Handball Association Complex projectwas Hill International. The main contractor of this project was Redco Construction-Al Mana andthe facade contractor of this project was Qatar Technical Aluminium. CE 2.3.2 Objectives developed for the projectThe Qatar Handball Association Complex is the most popular arena for indoor sports.This sports arena is based in the suburb of Duhail in Doha, Qatar. This complex serves as theheadquarters of the Qatar Handball Association. It has a composition of hexagon featured printedglazing, which architecturally represents the ball patterns for the events that will take placeinside. The objectives of this project are as follows:To host the matches of 2015 World Men’s Handball ChampionshipTo serve the major headquarters of the Qatar Handball Association.CE 2.3.3 My Area of WorkI was the Senior QA/ QC Engineer of this project from August 2013 to July 2015. Beingthe Senior Quality Assurance / Quality Control Engineer, my area of work is to look after theoverall quality of the project Qatar Handball Association Complex and also to help my subordinates and juniors in maintaining the project. I had to be sure that there is no loophole in caseof quality as this was a sports project. The players would have been playing in the complex andthe quality will not be compromised at all. I have used my intense civil engineering skills andknowledge for the fulfilment of the duties in my area of work.

Iwas appointed as the Senior Quality Assurance/ Quality Control Engineer in the project. I had toprepare the project quality plan, quality procedures, method statement, Inspection Test Plansaccording to Project specification and standards. I had to manage and look into the projectquality control to ensure compliance with various codes, construction standards, equipment andIMS system. I also had to check the quality during fabrication, installation and assembly ofseveral elements of Façade like the skylight, curtain walls, vertical fins, doors, and louvers.
