INTRODUCTIONIt is very important for any hotel organization to work effectively in order to increasetheir performance and sales as well. Present report will talk about Pax hotel. This assessment willfocus on strategies that is being used by the hotel management in order to have maximum use ofsolar or renewable energy, wastage and the reducing the impact of the hotel on environment.MAIN BODY1. Identification of the problematic areas in Pax hotelIn any hotel industry it is very important to focus on all the operational areas effectivelyin order to deliver the best quality service to their customers. Pax hotel wants to focus on usingthe energy, wastage and the reducing the impact of the hotel on environment. To implement thisstrategy into their management system, their focus should be on three key areas, i.e., kitchen,service department and maintenance of the hotel as these are the most crucial areas whichconsumes a lot of energy of an employees and also it produces a lot of waste. 2. Measuring current usageAll the three areas that has been discussed, i.e., kitchen, service department andmaintenance, has to kept in proper monitoring in order to identify the main issues in the Paxhotel. This will help in developing new plans according to the identified issues (Graci andDodds, 2014). Currently Pax hotel is not utilizing the waste of kitchen that is bio-degradable andcan be used in various ways. Electricity is the primary energy source, which is mainly used forHVAC, lighting and other equipments in hotel. Pax hotel is using natural gas and diesel. Insteadof this they can use renewable sources as well. 3. New strategies and Goal for Pax hotelThere are various ways in which Pax hotel can implement in their system in order toachieve their goal, such as,They can install energy saving technologies which can help then in reducing the wastageof energy in their hotel and to increase their efficiency.They can request their guests to keep the hotel environment safe and clean. They can implement alternative options for their energy sources, such as, they can usesolar energy as a source of electricity. This will also help in reducing the cost as well. 1
