Rate of reaction Assignment PDF_1
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
As we know that moon takes light from
sun to glow in the night we as students
take knowledge from our teachers to
make us of it in future so I would like to
thank my chemistry teacher Mrs Poonam
who guided me a lot with the topic.
I would like to thank our principal Mr.
Prakash Choudhary who provided every
kind of support.
At last, I would like to thank one and only
god almighty with whose help I could
complit this project on time.

Rate of reaction Assignment PDF_3
INTRODUCTION
There are mainly 3 aspects of a chemical reaction.
1. Reaction represented by chemical equation is feasible or not.
2. If they are feasible, to what extent they can proceed.
3. About the velocity of feasible reaction.
Reactions may be spontaneous, irreversible, slow or fast. The
rate of reaction is valuable not only to understand the chemistry
behind the reaction but also to enhance the industrial
production. Chemical kinetics is the branch of chemistry which
deals with rates of reaction and the factors influencing it. Nature
of reactants, concentration, temperature, pressure, light etc.
affect rate of reaction. The knowledge about kinetics of reaction
helps in choosing the optimum conditions for an industrial
process. Some of the important aspect of chemical kinetics are
illustrated in producing sections.
RATE OF REACTION
Rate of reaction indicates as to what speed it occurs. The rate
of reaction is defined as the change in concentration of any
reactants or production per unit, time. This implies that the rate
is either the rate of disappearance of any reactant or the rate of
appearance of any products.
For example : A B
Rate of reaction = rate of disappearance of A
= rate of appearance of B
