INTRODUCTION
Cervicogenic headache (CGH), as studies suggest and demonstrate a headache which is
origination cervical origin. Though old methodology, due its etiology and pathophysiology these
types of headache are enough hard to diagnose and treat. Even now, management of varieties of
chronic headaches remains challenging for health care professionals. The main objective and
purpose of this research is to review the literature on Cervical manipulation in reducing the
intensity and frequency of tension-type and and Cervicogenic headache and to develop an
evidence based lead approach to assessment of frequency and intensities which are suffered by
an individual(Anderst, and et. al.,, 2018).
Research question
To analyse and demonstrate major effects on population of Cervical manipulation in reducing the
intensity and frequency of tension type and and Cervicogenic headache. The major elements and
methodologies undertaken to study origination of headache.
Rationale
It poses number of challenges for many sports physical therapist professionals whih
debits reason the head pain results from dislocation other than a head. As per the estimated data
it is concluded that frequency and intensities of pain most likely to be chronic and majorly the
new target of this pain in a body shifts from cervical spine. Interestingly, these headaches are
most common headache which can be observed in the research. The most common people which
are being targetted through with this following disease can be considered as athlete as well. The
neck pain can be serious as well as headaches debits high intensities which can make a person
feel fragile as well (Lerner-Lentz, and et. al.,2020). Current scientific evidence supports the role
of manual activities and intervention can be followed in order to follow up the policy which can
able reduce the effects the chronic headaches.
In fact there is evidence based study which demonstrate the presence of peripheral and
central sensitization in chronic headaches or specifically in tension type. Clinical management of
patients suffering from crucial headaches needs to submerged them to extend beyond local tissue
based pathology in order to cooperate policies and strategies which are directly at normalized
central nervous system sensitivity. In such cases and scenario, as this study conclude some

manual therapies for these specific tension type and Cervicogenic headache which are totally
based on regards of non receptive pain rationale, to modulate central nervous system
hypersensitivity such as therapies and exercises. The therapies which are tend to be successful in
these cases are trigger point therapy, joint metabolizable, joint manipulation as well as
significant approaches that can considered by author such as cognitive pain approaches etc.
Exercises can be helpful as full body stretching, massages, movement of each body muscles
helps to release stress (Deng, and et. al., 2017)
METHODS
Search strategy's
In context to the selected objectives of the research topic various research tool were use
along with the qualitative and quantitative analysis of the information resources (Squires, Jylhä,
Jun, J., 2017). As their were the objective to analyse and evaluate cervical manipulation in
prospect to reducing the cerviogenic headache and frequency of the tensiontype (Fernandez, and

Screening and selection
In prospect to remove the chances of irrelevant and ineffective data, and to extract the
most appropriate data with all necessary information. Screening and selection of the data was
done by the aid of PRISMA flow digram as it helps to effectively select the information source
according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria (Deng, and et. al., 2017). Then after the primary
screening of the data according to the inclusion criteria 30 articles were selected then those data
were further analysed and examine to in order to determine its quality and eligibility. 12 article
were removed due to the unavailability of cervical manipulation Measurement, then 7 article
were again removed due to the absence of specific age group information as selected on
inclusion criteria. 3 articles was removed due to the absence of cerviogenic headache information
in context to the cervical manipulation. Then 2 article was finally selected for the research
review as due to the availability of all essential inclusion criteria factor's (Purssell, 2020).
Data extraction and quality assessment
Critical Appraisal Skills programme (CASP) and GRADE was used in context to the
quality assessment of data. Such as research articles were critically analysed and evaluated for
the extraction of qualitative data with in the application of CASP and GRADE (Yanbing, and et.

Scientific Evidence of Needling Therapies Interventions for Headaches
As the electronic research-e-book observed and able to identify number of papers which
are needling therapies for major headache. As the elimination of few papers has been done as the
the eliminated research papers does not contain proper knowledge and information in regards
with needling therapy. It is a therapy which is followed on basis on traditionally. In earlier time,
many people those have experienced this kind of therapy, they concluded that it may reflect a
major impact in the reduction of these kind high frequency headache. The needle therapy can
consist wet and dry intervention in which wet can be consider to be medical doctor whereas dry
therapies are the minor intervention which can taken to accomplish same motive to decrease the
headache and its causes(Purssell, 2020). The main points or joint points are being focused in this
therapy and satanized and pointed needles are just to inject in order to decrease and reduce the
pain from various points. According to the experience of many people it has been determined
that with the help of needles therapy, the pain reduces with release of body and pain can help to
release stress as well.
Wet needling wh9ich can be injections that may involve in the application of
pharmacological substances that may can be local anaesthesia or may botulinum toxin as the dry
needling can be termed to be usage of high number of solid needles and termed to be no applied
and injected substances. Acupressure is being discussed and majorly subjected into various
techniques to pint out the main points in a body which may can helpful to reduce stress, anxieties
etc. It is majorly important and significant that there is main difference in the acupuncture and
needling as the needling is process in which needles are inserted in a muscle Trips, not in
standardized points as found in the process of acupressure or acupuncture. It is being concluded
by many researchers and author that acupuncture is a process which is mainly used in the treat
ment of drugs which can effectively impacts on the treatment of migraine as well. As the dry
needling is process in which a useful for physical therapies. It has been located at the top side of
the neck as the pain induces and originates from the top of neck and below skull bone which can
cover the half facial area of a person(LoBiondo-Wood, and Haber, 2017).
Manual exercises may able to induce hyperalgesia is regard to activated which may

in the management of chronic and crucial head pains. In order to reduce the frequency one
should learn to manage and control the central nervous system. The two main exercise should be

with needling therapy.
Manual exercises may able to induce hyperalgesia is regard to activated which may
descending inhibitory pathways of pain. Exercises which are suggested to perform can be helpful
in the management of chronic and crucial head pains. In order to reduce the frequency one
should learn to manage and control the central nervous system. The two main exercise should be
focused and aims by an individual which are aerobic exercises as well as local exercises
targeting on the main disorders of muscles and which is main cause of cervical. As p-er studies
the best exercise which is suggested to do so are can be aerobic one, as per the estimated data by
number of questionnaire and surveys it has been observed that aerobic type of exercise prove to
be more effective in the role of reduction of these kind of neck pain and headaches. Many of
interventions which can be further suggested to take care and concern in regards with headaches
can be determined to be taking a proper and healthy sleep as well. The consultant mainly suggest
this intervention to primary focus on, to reduce pains.
DISCUSSION
These headaches are most common to evaluate the main objective firstly it is important to
determine the primary causes that exist by performing a through number of technologies,
methodologies as well as therapies. The major therapies which are considered to be useful is
musculoskeletal assessment, which aims on particularly of cervical spine. According to studies,
it is noted that specific orderly pattern of muscle disturbance and imbalance in patients with
cervical dysfunction, which includes those individual too with Cervicogenic headaches. The
pattern which are followed by muscles are demonstrated by health care professionals as it
muscles gets tight and weak which is termed as Upper Crossed Syndrome in medical field.
In recent studies, the number of people who generally work on desk jobs or person who
do not expose themselves in physical activities and prefer to keep their head posture forward is
thought to increase the stress on upper cervical segments. It is common in patients who suffered
from CGH as compared to others. It is also associated with weakness and decreased endurance of
deep neck flexors. Most recent studies proved that there is no significant difference in the
prevalence of front head posture in the role of headaches which cause Cervicogenic headache
(Mackey, and Bassendowski, 2017).
Clinicians preferred to diagnose the history of an individual and measures active cervical
ROM in targetted person suffering from neck pain and headache. However, there is a conflict
with author in the diagnosis on its validates in CGH. While other author were unable to found no
importance differences in AROM when they are compared to asymptomatic subjects. As it can
sub classify these headaches into traumatic versus atraumatic origin that can be valued, from
headache and neck ROM are indirectly related to patients who mostly tend to have sustain
whiplash injury as well. It is discuses that the tension and tightness of hared muscles and

Scientific Evidence for Manual Therapy in Tension Type and Cervicogenic Headache
There are varieties of therapies that can be derived and proposed fore the management of
tension type and covegenic headache which can spinal manipulation, massage, dry needling,
spinal metabolizable or it can be termed to be neuromuscular approaches. According to estimated
data by conducted survey it is determined that most common therapy which is carry out by
physician are spinal joint mobilization. In fact there are number of systematic review that have
investigate the efficiency and potential of spinal manipulation in the management of these
following types of headaches. As the result can be observed as inconclusive, as well as current
evidence does not support the implement of manipulation of disease migraine. Positive result can
be found for Cervicogenic headache. Further it has been observed that the techniques and

moreover, it can determined to more complex and crucial injuries including permanent
neurological deficits, dissection of carotid arteries as well as lead to take a person into mortality.
As in reality, the effects are poorly recorded in randomized controlled trail session, of

Manual Therapy Strategies for Headaches
According to current research, it is encouraged a paradigm shift in clinical decision

Research recommendations and protocol
As all above methodologies which are being considered in order to provide better
assistance and care to an individual who are suffering from chronic effects. It is recommended
that a person should consume and inhale stress in moderate. The umber of headaches stages can
lead a person to sifters with chronic illness which can considered to be complex and effect of
headache is not bearable. The continuity of treatment of medication should be followed in a
systematic and orderly manner. It has been recommended by author daily exposure of physical
activities and yoga can be helpful in order to release the proper amount of stress from body and
provide relaxation and peace to a body. According to view, the body needs to be relax at least
once in a month. As it can give a lead to accomplishment of aim in reducing headache and stress
(Grove, and Gray, 2018).
According to the guidelines of IHS, an intervention which is recommended to last at least
