INTRODUCTION
Business communication defines exchanging information for promoting the goals, aims,
objectives of the company for attaining the higher profits and sustainability. It helps in
organizing the brand awareness, marketing, customer relations and behavior, advertising,
reputation management for gaining higher sustainability(Dwyer and Hopwood, 2019) . This
report is based on English Language School in London and Manchester where students can visit
to Learn English UK. In a year around 1000 students are take admission in this school for
enhancing the learning. This report includes the challenges that a student can face in effective
communication. further it includes the strategies for overcoming the communication barriers so
that effective communication can be reflected and task can be achieved on time. At last it reflects
the benefits of cultural awareness that helps in attracting students in effective and efficient way.

Common challenges and barriers to effective communication
Effective communication refers to that ability in which information is transfer to another
person effectively and efficiently. This helps in developing the appropriate relations between the
two people so that company can enjoy more benefits. In case of English Language School
students may face several issues in communication that will majorly affect their study. These
barriers can be shown below:
 Cultural barriers- It refers to that barrier in which a person can face the issue in
communication when they belong to different culture. As different culture have their own
values and rules and to effectively communicate with the person it is very important to
understand the culture of other. In this English Language UK student can expect from the
director to organize the cultural fest so that they can understand the British culture and
also focus on their study effectively(Veltsos, 2017).
 Technological barriers – In this barrier individual can face the technical issue like weak
wifi signal, machines dysfunction etc. In case of Learn English UK students can face the
issue of weak Wi-Fi signal due to which they cannot communicate with their family and
friends and due to this students cannot concentrate on their study effectively.

 Noise barriers- In English Language School student come to learn English UK. The
school was located at the center start where lots of crowds are passes due to which
students cannot listen the lesson that was thought by the teachers in the classroom. Due
to which their study is to be affected.
 Physiological barrier- The building of English Language School is very old due to this
there is no proper insulation; During winters the students can face the issue of cold and
fever. Because of this they cannot focus on their lesson and does not communicate
effectively(Escobar-Rodríguez and Bonsón-Fernández, 2017).
Effective strategies for overcoming communication barriers
It is very essential to overcome the challenges of communication so that successful
results can be come out. In English Language School they can face the several barriers in
communicating with the students and teachers. Due to this they can focus on implementing
strategies that can show below:
 Provide follow-up- It is one of the best strategy in which English Language School can
focus on taking regular follow-ups of their students so that they can provide the lesson
according to that by removing the barrier. In this director can focus on strengthen the
Wifi signal so that technical issues can be removed.
 Limit distractions- Effective communication is done when there is no distraction in
communicating and listening. Within English Language School, they can focus on
improving the structure of their old building so that most of the barrier can be removed
effectively and students can effectively focus on listen the lesson properly(Pikhart, 2018).
The importance of cultural awareness
Culture refers to a feature and knowledge of a particular group of people, religion, social
habits, music, arts etc. Culture also reflects as a best element in communicating with the people.
In case of English Language school, manager can highly emphasis on cultural activities for their
students so that they can motivates towards their lesson and learn very effectively and efficiently.
Cultural awareness is very essential for understanding the culture of the British English as it
helps in encouraging students to highly involve in learning lesson. This also helps the students to
feel familiar with the country(Mayfield and Mayfield, 2017).

CONCLUSION
By above report it is concluded that business communication is very effective that helps
in completing the objective in effective manner. It Inculcates the barrier of communication that
will impact the learning lesson. In this several strategies can reflective so that student learns
lessons. In this culture awareness helps in offering proficient results.
