INTRODUCTION
Business communication defines exchanging information for promoting the goals, aims,
objectives of the company for attaining the higher profits and sustainability. It helps in
organizing the brand awareness, marketing, customer relations and behavior, advertising,
reputation management for gaining higher sustainability(Dwyer and Hopwood, 2019) . This
report is based on English Language School in London and Manchester where students can visit
to Learn English UK. In a year around 1000 students are take admission in this school for
enhancing the learning. This report includes the challenges that a student can face in effective
communication. further it includes the strategies for overcoming the communication barriers so
that effective communication can be reflected and task can be achieved on time. At last it reflects
the benefits of cultural awareness that helps in attracting students in effective and efficient way.
MAIN BODY
Common challenges and barriers to effective communication
Effective communication refers to that ability in which information is transfer to another
person effectively and efficiently. This helps in developing the appropriate relations between the
two people so that company can enjoy more benefits. In case of English Language School
students may face several issues in communication that will majorly affect their study. These
barriers can be shown below:
Cultural barriers- It refers to that barrier in which a person can face the issue in
communication when they belong to different culture. As different culture have their own
values and rules and to effectively communicate with the person it is very important to
understand the culture of other. In this English Language UK student can expect from the
director to organize the cultural fest so that they can understand the British culture and
also focus on their study effectively(Veltsos, 2017).
Technological barriers – In this barrier individual can face the technical issue like weak
wifi signal, machines dysfunction etc. In case of Learn English UK students can face the
issue of weak Wi-Fi signal due to which they cannot communicate with their family and
friends and due to this students cannot concentrate on their study effectively.
