Overview
In order to deal with the requested changes the different process that are involved during
submission include project selection process, management with professional leadership and
organizational strategy. Corwin Corporation is known for its quality rubber product
manufacturing. The management department of company is also focused on its global expansion
and competitive advantages. Many famous companies used to contract with Corwin Corporation
for manufacturing unique and quality rubber products. After taking contract of the PETER’S
company project Corwin Corporation made certain process level mistakes as a result the entire
project was failed to reach the primary goal and objectives.
1. Identification of the processes that are involved in submitting a request
After analyzing the project requirements in details Corwin estimated a net budget of
$250,000 for executing the project. The budgeting process (fixed budget) followed by the
company was a cause for the failure. On the other hand, due lack of availability in internal
resources, Corwin Corporation had to consider external resource management process, which
was the other reason for the failure. Due to offered five year profit sharing deal Corwin agreed
to the proposal that was incomplete.
The Proposal development process used by Corwin Corporation was not accurate but still
was accepted by PETER, it was other wrong process involved. Professional leadership and
management processes were not involved and there was no senior manager involved to the

project. As a result the entire project failed to meet its objectives. There was line manager
involved to the process at the early project development stage. The contract and procurement
management process used by Corwin Corporation was also not accurate. Before contract signing
and testing finalization resource outsourcing was done for getting raw materials. Project
development life cycle processes were also not followed properly and improper organizational
strategies caused major issue while implementing the project. The R&D process followed during
implementation of PETER’s project was not beneficial at all.
2. Identification and critical analysis on changes required
While analyzing the case scenario of Corwin Corporation it has been identified that,
many factors are there which directly and negatively impacting the project scope, time and cost.
In order to resolve the mistakes, secure position in the competitive market, to gain global
competitive advantages and moreover for commercial revenue and success different sections and
factors have been identified which require massive changes.
The management policy that is currently followed by Corwin Corporation is required to
be changed immediately because it prevents the project coordinators to bid on more than 90% for
unique rubber products. If Corwin Corporation would have supported this policy while bidding
for the project, then they would just not result project failure but also loss future opportunities
loss. Therefore, it can be said that that company requires changing their policy. Corwin
Corporation also needs to design and develop a professional project management framework
before designing, developing and implementing any project. Throughout the project development
life cycle period this project framework will give project managerial toolkits to the project team
members.

3CHANGE CONTROL PLAN DEVELOPMENT
The leadership approach needs to be changed to keep the project team members engaged
to their job roles and responsibilities throughout the project life cycle. Corwin Corporation must
follow suitable leadership traits and strategies. Apart from that changes are also required in
planning formal protocols to enhance the rate of project success. The project management
framework that has to be followed by the company must be recognized through PMBoK
knowledge areas. The most suitable project development framework that the company required
to undertake is PRINCE2. The R&D department of Corwin is quite smaller in size therefore; the
R&D department requires needful expansion in size.
The decision making policy used by the company is weak and that also needs to be
changed as early as possible for commercial and long term competitive advantages and success
as well. In order to manage all information with a high level of security the company should
change their existing data management process and replace it with advanced management
Information System (MIS). It will help to keep secure all high quality and confidential
information from unauthorized users also. Corwin Corporation should change their procurement
management process to approve perfect and beneficial project bids.
