As the name suggests the term change management refers to a kind of change or a
transformation in the ongoing business process or the already existing goals and objectives of the
organization. This change is brought into the ongoing process of the industry keeping in mind
some new goals that the company m must achieve. This is a systematic and strategic kind of
change that is brought into the organization through the ongoing goals, processes and the
technologies and implements of the organization. This change within the management of the
organization is also brought for the purpose of making the employee adapt to the change. This
has to be kept in mind that bringing about a change within an existing system is never a very job.
There will be a lot of hurdles and people will obviously try to resist those changes. Even if there
are no such resistances, it will be a very time-consuming aspect (Carnall, 2018).

A change is a transformation that is brought within any existing or ongoing system. A change
or that transformation can be brought within anything. In other words, a change is common to
any individual or any business organizations as well. The change management is one of the most
important aspects of the modern day business scenarios. This is because the 21st century is the
age of rapid changes and dynamism. The needs and demand of customers are also subjected to
huge change. It is for this reason that the business organizations must be very open to any kind of
changes in their process. These will help them to prevent any kind of failures and to satisfy the
changed needs and demands of the customers. They can manage the change by updating
themselves with the adoption of an increased and improved amount of technology and manpower
(Cameron & Green, 2015).

I think that the leaders are responsible for implementing those changes successfully. As per
my perception, a leader is one who will act as an advocate or a sponsor. In other words, he will
have to explain the entirely new concept to all the employees (Goetsch & Davis, 2014). Being a
leader, I will make sure that I am trying to explain the need for the change and the purpose of the
change properly among all my employees. For an instance, I am in the in the management board
of a hospital. The change I want to bring is launching the after surgery care units. I will call for a
meeting and then explain the entire thing along with examples. I will bring in some patients as
well who have suffered from after surgery complications (Hayes, 2018).
I will also make sure that the communication is taking place properly. As a leader, I will
make sure that I am becoming the voice that encourages people to understand and work for
bringing about the change. I will communicate about bringing this change. I will also bring in the
examples of patients who have suffered a lot after going through any operations. This will also
be helpful in making the change appear relevant and the employees will thus be encouraged to
contribute sufficiently to making this change a great success (Doppelt, 2017).
