INTRODUCTION
In this report, the process which was adopted by Saffire Freycinet Hotel for
implementation of technological changes i.e. software in the company which minimized the role
or front desk staff i.e. Property Management Software has been discussed (Bowie and et.al.,
2016). The resistance of employees has also been discussed and lastly, development of
sustainable change practices has been detailed.
MAIN BODY
Change Management Process
Since the management of Saffire Freycinet Hotel is planning to implement PMS
software, this implies reduced front desk staff and hence employees are not ready to accept this
change. Further, the management is also resisting as it will require distribution of their authority,
and employment of new technological personnel. The BOD intend to bring this organizational
change in the business model through following process:-
Identification of Need:- This step involves identifying what exactly requires to be changed in the
company. At present, Saffire Freycinet Hotel does not have any software for customer booking
and management which often leads to delay in booking where visitors and guests have to wait
unnecessarily. Therefore, BOD is planning to install software which will help in properly
documenting the data related to visitors and improve productivity of employees thus increasing
revenue as well (Shamim and et.al., 2017).
Aligning the activities and employees of organisation for implementation of change:-
Implementation of PMS software requires hiring of technological staff i.e. creation of separate IT
department which will mange the software and make it adaptable to hotel's operating system. It
also signifies change in the structure where one more department will be added in the
management team of hotel. And lastly, identifying and removing inefficient employees who are
not major contributors in Hotel.
Implementation of activities:- Implementation is an extremely crucial process which involves
support of workers. This can only be done when they understand why the implementation of
change is necessary and how it will improve the present status of employees. This is a very
comprehensive process and requires time for successful implementation of change so that Hotel
can progress along with changing environment.

addressing and removing them. This will help the staff of Hotel in simplifying the process of
change implementation.
Getting Regular Feedbacks:- Conducting surveys, agreement polls etc. are a few techniques that
help in analysing what the employees actually feels and think regarding implementation of
change. This helps in building insight and expanding the view of management that helps in
identifying those points which have not been included or correctly included in the change
implementation plan (Horng And et.al., 2016).
Process Consultation:- This is another aspect which helps in taking an external point of view
regarding the strategy formulated for change implementation. Saffire Freycinet Hotel can hire an
external reviewer who will identify the flaws in the strategy developed and also present tactics
for making the change implementation process an easier thing.
Sensitivity Training:- This intervention helps in creating a positive environment at the
workplace regarding change implementation in an informal manner. This helps in knowing what
are employees beliefs and attitude towards the proposed changes and also influence them to
develop and focus on positive aspects so that resistance to the change can be minimized

essential that an organization identifies the probable changes in market trends and formulate

overcome them.
Constant Experimentation and Innovation:- Developing new technique of doing the same
business creates regular innovation and development in the organisation and motivates employee
as well building up their excitement level and this serves double purpose of developing skills of
employees and increasing the spontaneity of the firm in adapting the intended change.
Observing Customer Behaviour:- For any company, successful identification of changing
behavioural tendencies of their customers is the key aspect in maintaining the competency of

that need to be implemented have been documented. Lastly, this report also highlights the
importance of future proofing and the tools through which it can be implemented.
