Chapter 3 and 4 reflection The third chapter emphasised the various process that goes into the stock clearing and pilling process. Though the chapter is designed based upon the real experiences of a business scenario, it could be reflected upon our personal management of various stocks related to the general products we use regularly. In the fourth chapter, various misconceptions or beliefs in life are elaborated. The third chapter was an interesting read, as it demonstrated the confusion that is apparent in the supply chain management. Reading the challenges presented there, I will be better equipped to handle the stocks and inventory in the future organisation Iget employed. A prime ethical concern evident in the chapter reading was the fact that the moment something goes wrong, we tend to blame others. Further, while taking crucial decisions, we often tend to neglect how they are going to affect others involved. Having trust and transparency between parties is utmost important for any business dealing, and to achieve success for everyone involved. (Senge, 2004) On the other hand, a crucial learning of the fourth chapter is that we tend to find solutions in our comfort zone and seldom make an effort to look for it in a strange or unfamiliar scenario. Often times, the expensive proposition usually do not yield the best results. Instead, if care is taken to pay attention to the minute details, lot of wastes could be saved. (Senge, 2004) To conclude, I have learned to keep an open channel of communication as far as stocking up goods is concerned. The ground realities should be very well conveyed by those who are working closer with the customers, so that any alarming situation could be tackled as fast as possible. Additionally, I have also learned that fast growth often brings downfall, as the corporate will resort to unethical practices to rake in increased revenue. Thus, ethical practices though brings in slow growth but it will be steady and stable.
