INTRODUCTION
There is high problem of alcoholism and other drug misuse which need to be reduced and
prevented. There are some legislation which are helpful in this process. There is discussion about
different legislation, roles and responsibility of client and workers. There is also discussion about
the 12-Step Model – Alcoholics Anonymous / Narcotics Anonymous (Casteel, (2019)).

Other Drug Act 1974. This is the act which can provide treatment, Care, Management and
rehabilitation of individual who is experiencing alcohol or other drug misuse problem. This act
provide the promotion and education of reduction, prevention along with treatment for the
alcohol and other drug misuse. This helps establish and maintain effective focus on alcohol and
other drug used within client (Davis, (2018)).
