INTRODUCTION
The aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are the indigenous groups that are in the
tribal places of Australia. The indigenous groups are having the culture which is making them
different because they are not literate and they are determined to work according to what is in
their religion (Perichon, Heard and Schouten, 2020). The report is on the indigenous groups and
the culture. They are not having the skills and they are not literate to improve the performance.
The report includes the safety of the culture of Indigenous groups and the factors that will help in
improving performance of the organisation.
TASK 1
1. Importance of aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and increase in the knowledge
The aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders will have to increase the knowledge and they
are having the importance because
Interpersonal approach- The indigenous people of Australia is having difference in the
cultures and they are promoting it because they are important for their lifestyle. The
citizens of Australia will have the culturally rich people who will help them in increasing
the knowledge.
Increasing the performance- The employees should help them in increasing the skills.
The aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders will have to increase the knowledge. They will
help them in increasing the performance.
2. The cross cultural training for the employees
The employees of the organisation have to work with them and it is important that they
have the communication. The non indigenous Australians have the process that will help them in
taking care of the health. The indigenous Australians are focusing on the safety of the culture.
The employees of the organisation should take of the culture and it will help them in improving
the performance (Duley and et.al., 2017). The women are not comfortable with their bodies
exposed so the employees should help them in increasing the knowledge.
3. The issues in the cross cultural training for the employees and its importance
The geographical areas- The indigenous people are in the backward areas and they are
not having the literacy to take care of their health. The issues in the cross cultural training

for the employees is that they are not able to make them realise the importance of their
health.
Lack of literacy- It is difficult for the non indigenous people to communicate with them
and they have different thinking styles. The women of the aboriginal and Torres Strait
Islanders are not comfortable in exposing their private areas. The employees have to
make them aware of the heath issues they are having and the factors that will help them
in improving the performance (Gibson and et.al., 2020).
4. The communication of the employees and the factors that are important
The organisation is having the barriers to communication and they are should be reduced
that will help them in improving the performance.
Lack of non verbal communication- The indigenous people are having the eye contact as
the important factor to communicate. The non indigenous people are literate and they
communicate with the eye contact.
Quantitative factors- The aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders are not able to analyse the
numbers. They do not have the numerical skills and it is not easy for them to analyse the
numbers and distance. The non indigenous people should focus on reducing the factors
that are not related to them and it will help them in improving performance.
5. The cultural safety
The cultural safety is the protection of the culture from being reduced by the people. It is
the awareness of the culture and the factors that will help them in having the religious practices
from generation to generation. They are focusing on protecting the culture and they are not
determined for the health because it is important for them that they are having the belief. The
indigenous people are focusing on the culture and the factors that will help them in improving
performance (Price and Rogers, 2019). They are having the factors that will help them in
protecting the culture of the employees.
6. The services of aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and colleagues as cultural broker
The employees of the organisations who are working as healthcare workers, teachers,
community workers and colleagues are the cultural brokers. They are bridging the gap between
the aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and the western culture. The services of aboriginal and
Torres Strait Islanders and colleagues as cultural broker is that they are solving the conflicts of
