1. For this assessment task, you are required to access and refer to the Early Years Learning
Framework and one other approved framework of your choice. These frameworks were
identified in the learning for this module and the additional resources. You will be required
to review both frameworks to identify similarities and differences between them.
Note: Use the EYLF framework documents ACECQA website and the information provided
within Chapter 13 of your textbook, to answer the questions in the table below. Answers
may be in point form.

The approved learning frameworks include:

 National: Early Years Learning Framework outlined in ‘Belonging, Being and Becoming: The
Early Years Learning Framework for Australia’
 National: Framework for School Age Care, outlined in ‘My Time, Our Place: Framework for

 Australian Capital Territory: ‘Every Chance to Learn—Curriculum framework for ACT
schools preschool to Year 10’
 Tasmania: the Tasmanian Curriculum, the Department of Education of Tasmania, 2008
 Victoria: the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework
 Western Australia: ‘Curriculum Framework for Kindergarten to Year 12 Education in Western
Australia’ (this complements the EYLF)
So, for people in Victoria, they can choose to use EYLF or their own approved learning framework that
is Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework.
However, the State Government in South Australia has not developed their own learning
framework…... so they are compelled to use EYLF.

Both the framework EYLF and Victoria Early Years Learning and
Development framework is the framework which have the primary
focus on the childhood proper development and their learning
which can allow them to provide better education for their growth
and development. This framework ensure about the foundation of
ensuring children care setting and experience quality teaching
along with learning. With quality education and care child growth
in positive way. They also focus on their overall development from
their initial phase that can have different value regarding health,
social and well-being. It can also guide educator about curriculum
decision making along with assisting implementation, planning
along with evaluating quality for better care and children learning.
This is highly effective through following some standard and
guidelines that allows to follow some standard within child care
setting. These have some standard which allows to proper
development and allows to focus on the different working that can
lead to good education and focuses on their physical and mental
development.
They have the focus on the quality education which is there in
children early life. This is highly effective due to they easily learn
things which get responsible for their mental and physical
development accordingly. Due to quality care and education
children get learning like how to behave with other and how to talk
to others and many more. Quality education and care allows them
for better physical and mental development that is associated with
their quality life. Ongoing learning and reflective practices can help
to provide better outcomes and help in idea generation. This can
help to improve the quality, equity and well-being of children.
