Aim
Is to introduce and give an accurate description and direct approach and concepts of
emergency management giving an explanation and analysis and evaluation of the Chernobyl
disaster. The reason why the event was chosen is because of aid that was provided and
support for the response and recovery efforts of all communities impacted in this disaster.
Introduction
Provide a brief overview of chernobyl event 1986
On the 26th April 1986 Chernobyl’s Nuclear power Plant in Ukraine experienced one of the
most exceedingly terrible Nuclear Disasters of the 20th century. The catastrophe happened at
Reactor 4 of the V.I Lenin in Kiev Oblast at 1:24am. Fig 1 Oecd-nea.org.p24). Numerous
situations have been broken down and disclosed adding to the two blasts and a graphite fire.

What is a nuclear reactor
The Chernobyl reactor RMBK-1000 was developed by the Soviet Union, in which the Soviet
Union relied on the reactor for the nuclear arms plutonium distribution. From the
configuration of the reactor RBMK it was listed as a graphite regulator for heating light water
cooling and a channel form reactor which had disadvantages. 1. A positive void conductivity
coefficient that emerge when the proportion of steam increases in the fuel channel. 2. A
