Introduction
Planning is an essential part of every business and when it comes to child care organisations,
the requirement of planning gets added on. The management works through a planned
process as this helps in delivering quality services in child care and maintain security of every
child. Security is the main concern for a child care organisation.
Purpose and Scope
The purpose of the plan is to provide the care takers and educators of a child care
organisation with a step by step guideline for an emergency situation
(Documentcentre.education.tas.gov.au, 2020). The plan provides a list of steps that is to be
executed in an emergency situation by a care taker or any service provider in a child care
unit.
Emergency Contacts
The emergency contacts should be displayed in every corner of the organisation. The list
should be displayed outside each room of the organisation, washroom, play house and other
official rooms.
Emergency service
The responsible person should contact the number in an emergency situation for a immediate
service (Craig and Jenkins, 2016). Emergency services number should be displayed in every
room of the organisation. The service number should be displayed outside the organisation
too as an emergency situation could arise in any section of the organisation.
Local police station
The local police station should be contacted in a situation where some accident or crime has
taken place. This would be followed by a message to the higher authority.
