procedures for safeguarding children and young people
There are the various national and local guidelines, police, procedures, for the children and
young people safeguarding which affects the day-to-day work with the children. Such as
the Childcare practices guideline of The Education ACT 2002, affects the day-to-day
responsibilities of the education authorities to promote and manage the children's and
young people’s safeguarding, welfare. In education setting teachers have to implement the
child care and protection activities, like they have to make sure that children are getting
equal opportunities and should keep away from the harm, abuse and harassment. In their
education plan there should be incorporation of effective development strategies.
According to the child protection act teachers, parents and care taker have to manage the
everyday safe and suitable environment for the children's along with the availability of all
essential assets. Another important guideline of the safeguarding is risk assessment, which
is essential in context to the prevention of children's and young people harm from the
different elements of leaving environment. Such as in education setting there should be
proper management of the risk factors along with the effective guidelines, in home
children's have to kept away from the risk. Each and every member of the society have to
make sure that they should ensure the effective listening of children's voice. According to
the national standards and provision of the children's advocacy 2002 day to day activities
in the children presence setting, should make sure that they listen to the children and
