From the topic of Critical Thinking it has been understood that it is not restricted to
particular subject but it enhances the capability of an individual or student to think more in
rational and clear manner (Tojiboyev , 2020). It provides the ability to student of university in

Another topic is construction of argument ability helps to understand the concept of

INTRODUCTION
Child labour basically refers to the children who are exploited by making them work which
can be of any form that it destroys that childhood and also deprive them from living a life of a
normal children. This basically interferes with all their ability and stop them from attending and
going to the regular School. Child labour is very harmful for the children both mentally and
physically (Edouard and Pokou, 2019). This is also not morally and socially right. Almost in
every country there has been legislation made by the government to prohibit exploitation of
children in the supply chain. Although not all the work which is done by children comes under
the child labour exceptions like family duties, a child who is working as an artist and many more.
The aim of this report is to study about the child labour in supply chains and compare the
arguments for and against banning of all such forms.
MAIN BODY
There are various countries in which young children work so that they can help their
families to survive. When generally speaking experts please that child labour should not be
prohibited full stop according to them since it is still dependent on the circumstance. The
activities of the child labour are very much common in the world where there is a lot of poverty
like in Asia, Africa and Latin America (Sharma and Kumari, 2018). There are various
organisations that are dedicated to the protection of children and their families, but they too
disagree that outright prohibiting child labour is the only solution. The claim that distinguishing
between exploitation and non-exploitation is critical especially when it comes to child labour.
Child labour
It is the work done by children that deprive them from their childhood, their future and
also their dignity. The work done by them also exceeds the hours they work. The work in which
they are engaged is not safe and very detrimental for the emotional and psychological health of
children; it also affects them socially and morally (Chatterjee and Ray, 2019). Every work done
by the children that interfere with the right to education are all examples of child labour. In many
cases children are also forced to work in their own communities due to the factor that they are
very poor or there might be inequalities or discrimination of gender or due to any other cultural

norms of the society. There are however various other instances where the children are used for
trafficking or force to work in various kinds of industries.

Not every word which is done by a child comes under child labour. Working children can
also benefit if the education is not jeopardized and also their mental and physical development is
not harmed in any manner. Any work done by the children can also be advantages for both
themselves and their families if they are over the legal age to work and are also employed where
the working hours are limited and a healthy environment is provided to all the children. It can
also be advantageous for children if they are getting the pay all salary which is sufficient and are
not being paid under (Yan, 2020). This kind of work does not interfere with their physical or
emotional development.
Arguments on child labour ban
For the child labour ban
There are many supply chain units where children are forced by their parents to work.
Due to this very reason children are deprived from getting proper education. Also the work
which is done by children is deteriorating their health and well-being. Due to the long working
hours and poor environmental conditions children are getting insured and contracting various
diseases at a very early age due to the exposure of chemicals and other (Posso, 2017). Also in the
supply chain units there are many children who are getting very low wages even if they are
working as long as the adults are working. Therefore it is suggested that child labour should be
banned.
Against the child labour ban
If children would not work then they would live in much more poverty. It is proposed
that if they did not work to help their families they would have a very low chance of survival.
There are many cases in which prohibiting children from walking does more harm than good.
With the fact that child labourers retain all of the money they earn from their labour it can be
argued that if they are excluded from that situation they will be pushed into an even more
dangerous climate (Sekar, 2017). Alternatively the power it would also make them more
vulnerable to exploitation airport instead of Ruby beating child labour it is proposed that there
shall be a work place which is safe for children and also it has improved working conditions.

Recommendation
Children should not be stopped from working instead they should be provided with a safe
environment and must be allotted with the kind of work in which they are safe and the said work
does not have a negative impact upon their physical and mental health. The work which is to be
done by the children shall not be against their wish and also that work shall not hamper their
right to education. Banning child labour by the government is not the solution to help children
instead there shall be provisions made to better the working conditions for the children.
CONCLUSION
It is concluded from the above report that all those work that is done by the children in the
supply chain units is considered to be child labour as all the children's are deprived from their
right to education and also they are not made to work in an environment which is both physically
and mentally good for the health of children. All the work which is done by the children do not
come under the category of child labour. Many families are there who are below the poverty line
and therefore even if children do not demand to work it is important for them for their own
survival. Therefore there must be conditions made under which children can have a healthy
working environment instead of imposing Ban upon their work.
