Identify what an early intervention and strategies could have been put in place for this
family. Provide one example of a program or service.
There were signs of neglect from the very beginning in the case of Amy and Sophie the
two sisters. They were not very clean, their clothes were not clean enough, lunch provided was
of very low quality. These are all indications of apathy from the family which may have further
implications to each. Indeed, it was found that the step father was physically abusing them. As
early intervention the sisters could be counseled in the first stage of the detection of apathy, this
could disclose the problem at an early stage. There is child abuse and protection law in Australia
and NGO’s like “Childwise” work to eradicate such menaces (Childwise.org.au, 2018).
Research and outline the options for addressing the client’s preferences and needs using
the following headings.
1. Residential services—Residential services incorporate gathering homes, foster houses,
commonly worked offices and child equity open and secure authority/detainment offices.
Kids and youth might be put in private settings by guardians, kids' guide social orders,
group get to components or on account of youth equity, requested through the courts.
2. Peer support service—Peer support programs give a chance to people who have
accomplished critical recuperation to help others in their recuperation ventures.
