Introduction
The objective of this essay is to analyse the requirements essential to manage in family
environment for the development of a child and its health. This essay will discuss the
physical and psychological wellbeing environment in a family and important things a family
needs to consider while taking care of an infant until the age of five. To evaluate the effective
development environment for a child this essay will dices the normal pattern of growth and
issues in the parenting that make the infant development challenging. To remove the barriers
in family and child health development this essay will recommend some skills, practices to
the nurse, and midwives or to the parents that can solve the parenting and childcare issues in
the infant development practices (Ceballo, Jocson, & Alers-Rojas, 2017).
An infant age is very challenging, it sets many difficulties to the nurses and parents as well,
and nurses practising according to the guidelines of the RN standards can perform the child
development activities effectively.
Early age development
Parenting and nurses involved in the childcare development practices needs to take a very
effective care of child in the age of infant to a grown up child up to five years (Coles,
2015). This age is foundation that frames the physical, emotional, psychological, and overall
development of a child. Main of parents and nurses involvement of the childcare activities is
to promote the mental health stability in the infant and develop the attachment and
relationship to keep the children safe and healthy with effective child protection. Parenting is
challenging face many difficulties to keep the child safe and healthy and manage the
wellbeing of a child, a child remain depend over parents and nurses for the care, hence these
play a role of family that focus to manage the child development with aim to manage
effective childcare activities (Kuskoff & Mallett, 2016).

Role of parents
Parent have emotional bond with the child their aim behind development is to analyse and
apply effective parenting styles for their child because their involvement provide emotional
and mental health support for the development to a child (Mustard & McCain, 1999).
Positive and strong bond of relationship with parents, sharing love and bind of affection helps
them to nurture their child in manner that result the positive psychological development to
make the child stable in the emotions, decision-making, and managing the effective stress
handling techniques in the age of a grownup child. Parents perform language, community
development activities for a child, parents are first school of a child, and they taught them
their basic language and manner essential to survive in a society and community (Paulus,
Backes, Sander, Weber, & von Gontard, 2015).
Role of nurses
Nurses and midwives help the parenting in effective manner to assure the development of
child in the mental and physical health development. Many parents are not aware about the
physical health of the child and some of them are not aware about the importance of mental
health and its importance in the childcare, hence nurses take deep care about their health
related to check-up and treatment to the health disease (Stern, 2018). Hence, nurses can
provide effective guidance according to the parents ad family members to manage the
effective and high quality of the environment that helps to develop the child. Nurse out
emphasis to manage the mental and physical health standards in a child; they keep observing
behaviour of children to examine their care at home and their community. They make efforts
to provide basic health standards to a child that helps him to handle many kinds of physical
and mental health challenges (Tan, Lyu, & Peng, 2019).
