This article discusses the factors, interventions and barriers related to childhood obesity, which is a major global public health crisis. Reliable sources such as MEDLINE and CINHAL have been used to support the findings. The article identifies that many factors influence child obesity and effective interventions have been taken to address the issue. However, many barriers have created obstacles in the way of managing the epidemic, from which financial problem and stigmatization of the obese children is two main factors that influence obesity. The article is relevant to the current health care condition and the findings would help to bring change in the health care system. Effective research has been conducted by the researchers to support the findings of the study. The findings of the article would help to understand the factors influencing childhood obesity in depth. It would help to introduce relevant interventions to reduce the effect of the factors in future. Implementation of behavioral, family-based, school-based and hospital-based interventions would help to address the issue and provide healthy lifestyle to the children in future.
