Introduction
Child obesity has become a major health issue worldwide
and prevalence of child obesity become higher in the last few
years.
The focus of the study is to identify the major factors that
influence child obesity, various interventions taken by the
government and barriers in managing the illness.
The study has used secondary research such as material from
CINHAL, MEDLINE and other academic research paper from
1999- 2011 to collect information.

Introduction
The study has identified that
many factors are present that influence child
obesity.
Effective interventions have been taken to
address the issue.
However, many barriers have created
obstacles in the way of managing the
epidemic, from which financial problem and
stigmatization of the obese children is two
main factors that influence obesity(Karnik &
Kanekar, 2012).
