“To understand the causes and risk factor associated with childhood obesity in UK”
RATIONALE OF RESEARCH
Childhood obesity is defined as the complex health issue. It is usually occurring when the child is
well above the normal or the healthy weight for their age and height. In this, causes of excess
weight gain in the young people which is similar to those in the adults which majorly include
behaviour and genetics. The childhood obesity leads to create number of complication which is
related with the diabetes, high blood pressure and the high cholesterol. As per this, there is no
any symptoms other than the weight which is above normal. They also help to improve the entire
family which is focused on the family diet and the exercise habits is on the best way which help
to achieve an optimise weight which is associated with child.
The major causes of the obesity are genetic which is based on strong genetics component
which is majorly determined in UK. In this, engineered junk food which is heavily processed
food are often little more than refined which is based on the ingredient which is mixed with
additives. In this, the people of UK are usually getting faced concern with the food addiction
which may lead to create more complication with the child obesity.

I: Take healthy snacks and set good example with healthy eating and regular physical exercise.
C: Focus on the self-management include child get enough sleep and healthy approach towards
the fitness.

SEARCH STRATEGY
The search strategy which is followed in order to gather the information of the data from the
various source. It may include Journals, books, article and various website. The website which is
used to collect the data for the selected topic named childhood obesity from SpringerLink,
PubMed, Biomed, CINAHL, science direct and from the official website of government and non-
government include world health organisation and national health services. As per this, the
search strategy involves various key term which is followed as a keyword to determine the data.

With this contrast, the single and combination factor of key term are used to collect and gather
the information. There is some example which include under key terms are childhood obesity,
obese, cause of childhood obesity, and many more keywords are used to search for the data
which is associated with the selected topic.
INCLUSION AND EXCLUSION CRITERIA
Inclusion criteria
 RCT is required.
 Examining the causes and complication of childhood obesity.
 Study the ways of the prevention for the childhood obesity.
 Analyse the condition and situation which is associated with childhood obesity
Exclusion criteria
 RCT is not required and the English translation was not available.
 Studies which is based on intervention with any care plan.
 Comparing between to different region and use of comparative study.
