This proposal aims to establish the effects of Chlorhexidine Gluconate Solution in oral hygiene among intensive care unit patients and its effectiveness in preventing Ventilator-associated Pneumonia (VAP). The research will help in improving oral health care to prevent the occurrences of VAP and in expanding the knowledge that exists on the effectiveness of Chlorhexidine Gluconate Solution in the prevention of VAP.

the occurrences of VAP.
• Help understand the reason for colonization of gastrointestinal
tracts and how to prevent that
• Helps in establishing the importance of Chlorhexidine

• Helps in expanding on the knowledge that exists on the
