Introduction
Computer information system focuses on the usage of computers in a business
atmosphere and focuses on evaluating and designing the business information systems.
Computer information systems in healthcare capture, store, or transfer the health-related
information of the patient or the activity of company work in within the healthcare sector
(Wager, Lee, & Glaser, 2017). It also helps in transmitting information among health
professionals. In this particular assessment report different type of information systems in health
care, their importance, how they improve patient safety, and how they affect the continuity of
patient care will be discussed.
Types of Computer information system
There are different type of health care computer information systems that are obtainable
and accessed by healthcare professionals such as clinicians, nurses, and public health officials.
The health care providers can collect, store and transfer the data with the help of these systems.

successfully replaces the paper records of the patient. The information is now collected and
