Description of the community and
boundaries
McGregor is a city that lies between two counties and two
metropolitan areas in Central Texas.
This is a rural community which has a range of industrial,
commercial and retail opportunities.
It is also an important transportation hub with throughfares
carrying thousands of vehicles everyday (Moore, &
McSpadden, 2009).

People of McGregor
McGregor has a population of 4,9878 people, 1728
households and 1207 families (United States Census
Bureau, 2010).
The average family size is 2.73 and while the average
household size is 3.21
About 14.9% of the total population lives below the poverty
line (Population and Housing Unit Estimates)

Geography of McGregor
It situated at the junction of US
Highway 84 17 miles northeast
to Waco and statute highway 317
15 miles north to Valley Mills
(Geographic Identifiers, 2010).
McGregor city lies in Western McLennan
County and extends westward into Coryell
county in Texas United States of America.
This city surrounds the McGregor industrial
park which was formerly a Naval Weapons
reserve Park.
McGregor has a total area of 21.4 square
miles
