INTRODUCTION
Civil engineering is based on the professional that mainly deals with the construction and
other type of physical built environment. The report will describe about the poor air quality
which directly affects on the human being and increase rate of air pollution across global world.
The climate change is directly related to the poor air quality which increases temperature of
atmosphere while increasing critical situation or condition. Furthermore, it will analyze the
internal combustion power vehicle which continuously generating the emission of gases.
However, it will be understanding that different civil engineer uses the sustainable materials for
building construction to clean, pure air quality in the surroundings.

Air pollution is defined as degradation of air quality which are negatively affects on the
human health and environmental degradation by naturally or artificially. Nowadays, it has found
that air could be contaminated in very quickly. Therefore, rate of pollution will be increased in
air particles. Due to increase globalization in terms of industrial production that directly affects
on the air quality in many countries (Chiashi and et.al., 2019). In past decade, it has become
rapidly growing and directly affecting on the health condition of humans. Currently, air pollution
is considered as the most serious environmental issue. It consistently shown their serious effect
on the human health.

A poor air quality is one of most common problem that effects on the sensitive
populations include older adults, children who are active outdoors. As per analysis, it has
identified that 6-million peoples face problem due to air pollution in global world. It has
increased the level of particular matters and nitrogen oxide. It is one of the most pollutants that
directly associated with large number of cardiovascular diseases. Even it also seen in the
children, they are suffering from neurodegenerative diseases (Poole and et.al., 2019). As per
analysis, it has been identified that indicate poor air quality increasingly and underlying related
to health impact rapidly.
A poor air quality can affect on the environmental condition and also damaging both
underground water and soil. It is becoming serious threat in the diversity of life. The Air

pollution is directly affecting on the species diversity because containment air will create
problem and issues. (Serrano, Novella and Piqueras, 2019).
Nowadays, it has been rapidly increased the use of internal combustion vehicle that plays
major role in our lives. These types of vehicle comprise only 5% on road while they are
generating more than 25% global warming emission that mainly come from transportation. In
this way, it has significant increase rate of air pollution. The fossil fuel combustion in the
transportation that contribution of air pollution. The combustion vehicle emissions are dispersed
into the ambient air in the atmospheric. therefore, it influencing to extent and react with
atmosphere gases and increase rate of air pollution. The use of vehicle is common in global
world but it requires to take into account in the analysis of transportation emission (Holmberg
and Erdemir, 2019). It has shown that vehicle emitted large amount of CO2 in global
environment. Therefore, it directly affects on the climate change whereas ozone is the most
common high-altitude shield of earth. It can protect the atmosphere against the other type of
ultraviolent radiation that emitted by sun. Carbon dioxide CO2 and other greenhouse gases
directly react with the atmosphere while performing the ozone pollution events. In this way, it
automatically changing the entire temperature of earth and develop risk related to air pollutants.

also including greenhouse gases which contains carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide and methane. It is

easily circulated around the surroundings (Serrano, Novella and Piqueras, 2019). In this way, it
slightly increases temperature of atmosphere and encourage the plants in the different regions. It
directly effects on the darkening of earth surface while increasing global warming situation.
Another way, the immediate changes have seen in the level of air pollution which directly effects
on the living things.
After addressing the air pollution, it can be implementing an effective solution to the
climate change and use economic policies to reduce air pollution (Li and et.al.,2019). The
decarbonization of economy will generate to reduce emission of CO2 and air pollutant while
pursuing that use of fossil fuel is not properly for either in terms of air pollution or climate
change. On the other hand, other technologies are promoting as a climate change through

combustion of biomass and biofuel that would be used in the transportation (Poole and et.al.,
2019). In this way, it is important to choose an appropriate design for measuring the air quality
while controlling pollution rate through sustainable development in global environment.
Unfortunately, the adverse effects of combustion vehicle that have a great impact on the
human environment and natural. The primary technology can be used in the transportation that
causes emission of pollutants (Poole and et.al., 2019). As a result, the level of contribution
towards local pollution increases in which it is possible that 1.1 percent death annually basis. It
has been recently estimated as responsible for up-to 6% in Europe. In additional, it also affecting
the environmental degradation and air quality whereas transportation plays important role in
urban areas. The frustration and delays are major caused by traffic congestion (Serrano, Novella
and Piqueras, 2019). it also reducing the productivity and quality of life in day to day. Thus, it
possible to minimize the potential gross regional items and also produced the noise by vehicles.

Civil engineer has made plan for tackling the problem related air pollution in global
world. Nowadays, it is major issues in the environment because it affects on the overall human
health and environment degradation. These types of situation have occurred due to air pollution.
Sometimes, it has analysed that there are large number of construction project running so that
plan help to address emissions and establishing the vehicle consolidation centre in different
cities. It has been implemented the “Engineering cleaner air” which are looking at way to
improve the poor air quality (Namdeo and et.al., 2019). The government and civil engineer both
are support to collaborate with each other. It also includes the new technology for reducing the
harmful emission during construction. in building construction project, there are harmful
emission happens which directly affects on health problem and environment condition. It
involves nitrogen oxide, nuisance dust and fine particulates.
Civil engineer has performed the operation to reduce air pollution which typically related
to the modelling. It can be identifying the air pollution and its main source. The new chemical
factory has been constructed where engineer understand early life cycle and then including
specializing in air quality management. In this way, it plays important role for identifying the
compound that will be used the production activities. It will require for reducing the rate of air
pollutant while using sustainable material in construction project (Nowak, 2019). In this way, it

will require to do analysis for identifying containment of pollution whether from factory
construction or combustion vehicle. Civil engineer is mainly used pollution control system in
urban environment and combined with measurement approach, modelling to investigate about
dispersion of pollutant.
It may be supported through statistical models that representing a link with multiple level
of specific fuels, patterns. It directly turns into the appropriate technologies as well as
regulations. For Example- air quality modelling is a type of technique that help to reduce
nitrogen dioxide, which can impair the respiratory system and also affect on the ozone
concentration (Poole and et.al., 2019). The Civil engineer always considerations of important
principles that help for reduced the presence by contributing in the design for vehicle engine and
other type of power plant.
In ethical perspectives, Civil engineer who work in the public sector so that they are
responsible for maintaining and controlling air quality. It should be used the suitable rules and
regulation such as air pollution legislation (Joint Board of Moderators. 2020)
As per rules and regulations, it must be checking reviews the application for installation
and permit to identify that how much toxic gases produce even it possible to control
environmental condition in proper manner (Poole and et.al., 2019). It must ensure before starting
construction project whereas compliances related atmospheric emissions help for screening the
different level of hazardous condition. civil engineer is simply check to see if in case employee is
complying with the legal binding and also steering clear another financial penalty.
On the other hand, it could have seen the ethical requirement for controlling the poor air
quality while civil engineer shall hold health, safety and protect environment condition.
Engineer’s judgement that overruled under the circumstances in which provide the safety by
using different technologies (Serrano, Novella and Piqueras, 2019). Engineer must focus on
facts, figures and also consult with client and another employer in regards of project completion.

Reflect upon the characteristics that feel civil engineer should display in 2020.
Being civil engineer, I have learnt so many things about the construction which help for
me to implement innovative idea for building projects. However, I could be combined with the
real-life situation to build a depth understanding towards current project. In my opinion, engineer
means to handle any type of situation and put them in order to organise in better ways. All of
thins it is good in themselves and vital to achieve success (Schnell and et.al., 2019). The most
valuable characteristic is ability that should come from own idea, opinion, belief and thoughts.
In 2020, it has greater demand of successful civil engineer because they can put
innovative idea in the business for developing sustainability in global marketplace.
Skills in the communication as well as knowledge of politics, salesmanship and
management. These are important which require for successful engineer to develop their own
identity in professional field (Poole and et.al., 2019). In context of profession, it constantly
reflects on the ability to take action in their daily lives. Yet the ability has needed rather than
professional world because it helps to adopt any things effectively while achieving the specific
goals and objectives.
According to me, Civil engineering always dedicated towards the advancement and
improvement the human condition. It always concerns about the creativity and problem-solving
skill to provide better sustainable environment for societies in the future. I believe that it widely
employed throughout different sectors in terms of building design, planning innovative
transportation system, reuse modern techniques and also preventing the environmental condition.
in order to reduce the rate of pollution in global world (Serrano, Novella and Piqueras, 2019). I
also understand the skills in project creation which helps for developing nations where require
for increasing rate of services. As current situation, I could analyse that civil engineer has a
major play in development and also using emerging technologies such as computer simulation,
autonomous vehicles. I have seen that engineer concern about the air pollution which become
major issues in current scenario.
I am proud to be a civil engineer because I have an ability to fulfil my dreams through
their own skills and knowledge. Being civil engineer, I have an ability to handle different kind of
critical situation in project activities. I realise that it is important for civil engineer to understand
the specific objective in the professional industry.

CONCLUSION
From above discussion, it concluded that air pollution is becoming major issue within global
environment because it can increase the issues related health problem and atmospheric
temperature level. It has summarised about the several issue which has increased due to greater
usage of internal combustion power vehicle. Furthermore, it can be determined that civil
engineer concern about the sustainability to reduce the level air pollution by using sustainable
raw material in the construction.
