Introduction
The Civil War began with uncompromising differences between the slave and free
states over the authority of the national government to disallow slavery in the territories. In
1860, Abraham Lincoln won election as the first Republican president. Abraham Lincoln
took a pledge to keep slavery out of the territories and then seven slaves formed their new
nation. It segregated the United States into the various small countries. Changes and
amendments which are followed by the U.S. after the Civil War are reported in this paper. On
the basis of U.S. history some judgements are also mentioned in the report.
Task A
History
The new chapter of America was introduced after the Civil War. In January of 1865,
thirteenth amendment was passed in American history. After the end of the war, million of
African Amercian’s eradicated slavery from the United States. Former slaves travelled all
over the South, to look for their relatives who got separated during war. Former slaveholders
were in the situation of dilemma from the freedom, whether to show concern or anger
towards people in the country.
In North and South, black and white men and women began the work of forming new
social order and renewal of the shattered union. It was a reconstruction period for them. They
were disappointed by implementation of social orders in the nation. It was starting of a long
journey with the complexities and struggle which influence the people adversely.
In the constitution, two new amendments were added at the time of reconstruction
period. In 1865, the fourteenth amendment was implemented for granting the citizenship to
those people who born in the United States. New amendment was introduced to guarantee
that no American would be denied for their legal fundamental right of vote. But Americans

were abjured from right to vote in various representative states during reconstruction period.
The people of America were at the point where they knew that slaves were dead, resulting
into a negative impact on the slaveholders in the near future because of 250 year legacy
behind them. Americans are the citizens or member of the country and those who belonged to
the north and south but now living in the same region. American’s does not equate nationality
as per the American law and culture.
Themes of U.S. history
American Diversity-
This theme is all about the realtionships of different groups of United States. Race,
class and gender also plays a different role in the history of America.
American Identity-
American national behaviour is different from the people of the other country.
American’s have certain similar characterstics with the various groups in the United States.
They have different concept and views about American exceptionalism.
Culture-
Culture of America have several immigrant groups who plays a significant role in the
creation of the nation's culture. Insular culture is also represented by the different ethnic
groups. American culture has developed and it covered the entire country. Literature, theatre,
philosophy, music, art, film diverse the individual and collective expressions of American’s
throughout the US History.
Demographic changes-
From the US history to the present days, changes show in population size, marriage,
birth and death rate. The country also effects from the migration network of society, internal
migration and immigration.

Economic Transformations-
As the time passes United states developed by changes in technology, trade, and
commerce. United States effected by the development of business and financial incentive
including buying, selling and business structure.
Environment-
United States expand in the area of conservation and consumption of natural
resources. of industrialization, pollution, urban, suburban expansion and population growth.
Globalisation-
It changes with the time and with the development of the world from pre-history time
to the present-day by developing colonization, mercantilism, market development,
imperialism, global hegemony, cultural change.
Politics and Citizenship-
American’s struggle for their civil rights and for the citizenship. With the
development of the government, American political traditions, growth of democracy,
Colonial and revolutionary legacies are also develop.
Religion-
In America, there are various religious beliefs which change from 15th century to 21st
Century, they also impacts the economics, religion on society and politics.
After the civil war, Most of American’s learn a simple lesson that never gets involved
in someone else’s problem except in unavoidable situations. The country follows some
amendments for guaranting the citizenship and for the civil rights. But the maximum number
of people decided that few American’s soldiers send central Africa. America changed
extraordinarily over the past forty years. America follows some amendments which are made
by the American government. The civil war covered the way of American’s life style. By the

open opportunity, economic growth and land opportunity of United States is growing
continuously. In 1865 a month after the civil war ended, group events were organized by
black and white in the north and south. These are the first memorial days for America which
are quickly converted into an annual tradition which were usually organized for early
summer. The Democratic and Republican parties suffered the war. But in 1860, parties shows
the republic’s interests over the states. Northern Democrats join the new party to elect
Abraham Lincoln. Both the parties held their spots as U.S. parties ever since. In 1960, the
national democratic party supports civil rights of the citizens. These steps develop in America
after the war ended. Rights and claims are also made for the citizens. Themes of US history
makes the U.S. different from other nation. After the war, everything improving and getting
in the right way.

The story reconstructed on the basis of civil war and by assesing the impact of
amendements. End of Civil War and the events are End of Civil war in U.S. is the starting
stage of struggling and developing. Amendment are made for citizens for their civil rights
and legal identity. During the period, when the 13 amendement were not implemented slaves
were free. Other amendments are made for the civil rights and for their identity of citizenship.
Reconstruction rebuilt the America after the war Southern was placed under the military and
the conflict between the north and south reduced. Group events were organised by north and
south are converted into the tradition of the U.S. which is organised after the one month of
war ended. Those events are the annual tradition of U.S. which is organised in the summer.
The themes of the U.S. history shows that U.S. developed after the war. The changes in the
culture, religion develope the U.S. and country affected by demographic changes. After the
war, black and white people of north and south began to form social orders. U.S. developed

by the changes in the technology or by enhancement the business and financial incentive.
Citizens of the country also take steps toward the struggle for their civil rights. Political
parties also took decisions and give fundamental right to the citizens for their legal identity
even who are non-citizens of the country. After the end of the war, U.S. environment changed
by increasng in population size and it expand in the area of conservation and consumption.
